Murder
Injury Time Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The disgust, the hurt, the anger, the rage
Incarcerated in this skeletal cage
The torment, the strain, the pressure, the weight
Don't try and fight it, just unleash the hate
The users, the fakes, the liars, the cheats
Will all meet their end once the beast is released
The choking, the pain, the retching, the screams
As reality becomes the blood soaked dreams

To all the friends who are really enemies
To all the cunts who lie
The time has come to pay the penalty
On this night you'll die

The bodies, the blood, the mirror, the knife
They all deceived and so lost their lives
The vengeance, the flesh, the murder, the thrill
Loss of control freed this monster to kill
The sirens, the lights, the panic, the door
One by one they all fall to the floor
The petrol, the spark, the fire, the death
Continuous explosions 'til there's no one left

To all the friends who are really enemies
To all the cunts who lie
The time has come to pay the penalty
On this night you'll die

Burn away - never see another day
Engulfed in flames - the floor where the bodies lay

No more pain - every enemy lies slain
The result - of the wrath of the insane

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Injury Time's song Murder describe the intense emotions that build up inside of someone who has been hurt and betrayed by those around them. The first verse sets the stage for the explosion of anger and hate that is to come, describing how these powerful emotions are trapped inside the person like a caged beast. The second verse takes a darker turn, detailing how the unleashed hatred leads to violence and murder. The final verse describes the aftermath of the killing spree, with the bodies of the dead lying on the floor engulfed in flames.

Throughout the song, the lyrics express a desire for revenge against those who have wronged the singer. The list of people who will "meet their end" includes "the users, the fakes, the liars, the cheats" - those who have deceived and betrayed the singer. The repeated refrain of "to all the friends who are really enemies / to all the cunts who lie / the time has come to pay the penalty / on this night you'll die" makes it clear that the singer is seeking justice for the harm that has been done to them, even if it means taking extreme and violent action.

Overall, the lyrics of Murder are a chilling depiction of the destructive power of revenge and the dangerous consequences that come with unleashing one's inner demons. It's a cautionary tale that warns against the dangers of holding onto hatred and anger, and the terrible things that can happen when these emotions are allowed to spiral out of control.

I was a Stepdad to two girls. I can't imagine a man harming one. Especially in the home where they should be 100% protected and safe. Reily's case is very disturbing to me. My girls still come see me 20 years after me and their mom split. I kept them while their mom went to prison. People said I was crazy because they could accuse me of something. But I was their Dad, they wouldn't do that. They were raised better.

Bless you. I was raised by a man that is not biologically related to me, from around 2 years old. He and my mom split up when I was 14 or 15. I'm not in my early 30s, that man is and will always be my daddy, and after that I got my hobo (my stepdad) and then they split up and he will always be my hobo and now I'm a mom of 2 girls, my partner and I have been together since my oldest was 18 months old and I was 3 months pregnant with the 2nd girl. He is all they have ever known, (due to a cruel family member they do know daddy didn't make them) but as a daughter that can relate to your daughters and as a mother in the same position as your two daughters I am just filled with love and appreciation for you and your comment. You can tell you are a fantastic dad, just by what you said. Your girls are lucky to have you, and so lucky they weren't treated any differently just bc they weren't your blood. It fills me with so much happiness knowing that their are other men in the world like my daddy, and hobo. Sadly anymore it seems its more often than not , not this way. Sadly wr have to be so cautious about who is around our children and equally as sad that good men like yourself have to even consider that a child you love whole heartedly could accuse you of the unthinkable or their mother(or other family member) could accuse it or even suggest that they might accuse it when there are so many bad people out there that would do awful things or lie and say awful things happened. Those people make it so hard for the good ones to love freely and without fear. Sorry for rambling. I get very emotional and tend to take it personally when subjects like this are brought up, I guess bc I've been in it first hand on both sides as the child and also as the mother that had to worry about the bad that could possibly happen, and also bc being not biologically related can mean you are treated so differently which is so wrong in my opinion. But that's a different topic.
My main point is, you can tell by your comment what a great dad you are.

@janicefarmer2387

To bad she didn't have a decent man in her home. My husband was the step dad to my daughter. šŸ˜ŖšŸ’”

@ziatc

Thank you sir for being a great step father. I know itā€™s not easy. I can just imagine the love those girls have for you! I wish my stepdad was not a predator and abuser.

The fact that she didn't want to go home just broke me. This abuse was probably happening for a while.

Thank God for modern technology.

It happens very often too. Be watchful at all times šŸ˜¢

@kickboxerforever00

I can't see it, if it had been happening for a while then she wouldn't have texted to her B/F about being scared,and the whole murder thing wouldn't have happened and wouldn't make any sense otherwise she would have told about it much earlier, I think it was a one off.
