Vampire Punk Rockers From Hell
Inkubus Sukkubus Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Born of Hell and born of night
Anarchist and Antichrist

Lost in lust, you shall be dust
Now the burning Sun is falling
From the dark skies above
A cornucopia of disease
We will bring you to your knees!
We have come devoid of love
We're the Vampire Punk Rockers from Hell!

All your nations rise and fall
And we have come to destroy your world

We have seen it all before
We are your apocalypse
And we are the final kiss

We're the Vampire Punk Rockers from Hell!
And we have come to destroy your world
And we have come to destroy your world
We're the Vampire Punk Rockers from Hell!

From the void we're coming back
Black on black and black on black
We are lost, and lonely
But we're the holiest of the holy

We're the Vampire Punk Rockers from Hell!
We're the Vampire Punk Rockers from Hell!
And we have come to destroy your world
We are dread, we are destruction
We're the Vampire Punk Rockers from Hell!

We will take you and we will waste you
We are a nemesis from a distant star
We are the dead, we are the damned
Angels and monsters, from your nighmares and your dreams

And we will drown you in eroctia
NEMESIS, HECATE, LILITH, KALI

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in the Inkubus Sukkubus's song Vampire Punk Rockers From Hell are quite straight-forward and describe a group of vampires who have come to destroy the world. The first verse mentions how they were "born of Hell and born of night" and are "Anarchist and Antichrist", implying that they are rebellious and anti-authority. They are described as being lost in lust, and now that the "burning sun is falling" they have come to bring a "cornucopia of disease". They are devoid of love, hence their mission to destroy the world.

The chorus of the song emphasizes their destructive mission, with lines like "All your nations rise and fall / And we have come to destroy your world". They assert that they are the apocalypse, and the final kiss of death to humanity. In the second verse, they describe themselves as the "holiest of the holy", even though they are vampires, suggesting that their mission is divine in nature. They are coming back from the void, dressed in black, and while they are lost and lonely, they are also dread and destruction personified. The bridge of the song includes a list of names, apparently referencing various figures related to death and/or the underworld, such as "NEMESIS, HECATE, LILITH, KALI". Overall, the song seems to be a warning against those who choose a path of destruction and neglect love.

I have such a hard time getting see this band:

They were meant to headline in the man tent at Hawkfest 2008 but the whole thing was washed out by floods.

Saw them at the Fleece in Bristol a few years back and they were superb.

Went to see them at the Acoustic Couch in Bracknell after the Enchanted Market and the acoustics were so bad I had to leave.

Hope they have better sound techs next time I see them.

I honestly interpret this song as a satirical look at how society sees goths. xD

Kimberly Wall

But have you SEEN the goths today? Freaking pitiful. Goth for me isn't this "emo style whiney ass little gits who think they're edgy for wearing black, skinny jeans and hello kitty bracelets" like seriously, just bc they wear eyeliner and have a collar doesnt make them true goth

INKUBUS SUKKUBUS

I an really proud of this track,, one of the highlights my 30 years in the music biz.

Kattriella

Reading through the lyrics, somehow, I feel this is how a lot of parents view rock music in general . . .

Jakegothicsnake

The rock music scene would be much better and FAR more cooler if it was dominated by vampire punk rockers instead of high school or college age emos and hipsters and pop punks.

Me había olvidado de este tema 🖤✨

Beautiful sound!

madprofessor

From what year is this album? Sounds great btw.

Jake Cuevas

well i think vampires were kind of ruined for me with this whole twilight wave of movies and literature. i got a good dose of wolves in my life time so i have a bit of a wolf obsession.

Charlotte M Johnson

Adore the energy at the end.
