de nuevo rudies, más skins
reclamando su lugar
tribus urbanas en la ciudad.
Tomando el autobús
eructa uno, corre de norte a sur
un policía los mira llegar
CORO:
compartiendo nada en común
caminamos por la misma calle
aquí no importa la clase social
la mezcla de la de cada ser.
mi generación.
salí pimienta de la sociedad
nosotros vamos donde queremos estar
el mundo se vuelve hostil
y a ti preocupa mi dignidad
subcultura callejera
no es una moda pasajera
y en el cambio de estación
la vieja escuela siempre ha sido mejor
CORO:
compartiendo nada en común
caminamos por la misma calle
aquí no importa la clase social
la mezcla de la de cada ser.

The song "Mi Generación" by Inspector talks about the repeating pattern of urban tribes and subcultures in the city. The same story keeps happening, new people who identify with the rudie or skinhead culture emerge, wanting to assert their place in society. The song portrays the subculture as a way to break free from the constricting norms of society. The lyrics also highlight the police scrutiny faced by these subcultures, as tattoos only bring attention when there is an attitude to match. The song emphasizes the idea that everyone walks the same streets, regardless of social class, and the mixture of different personalities is what defines the generation.
The chorus emphasizes the idea that people who share nothing in common walk the same streets and coexist. The song also speaks of how the members of this subculture do not follow fleeting trends and are not just passing fads. The "old school" always remains present, and subcultures like the rudie and skins have stood the test of time. The song seems to be talking about the current or past state of the city, where, despite cultural differences, people come together in the same space.
