Instant Funk Lyrics

Come on you can get it
Get it, girl, any time
Say what? Tonight is fine
I got my mind made up
Come on you can get it
Get it, girl, any time
You gotta push it to me, baby
Push it to me, baby
You gotta slide it to me, honey
Slide it to me, girl
If you want my money
If you want my money
You gotta make it good as honey
I got my mind made up
Come on you can get it
Get it, girl, any time
Say what? Tonight is fine
You've got me groovin'
Just keep on movin'
Keep movin', keep movin'
Feeling's really soothing
Keeps me movin', yeah, yeah, yeah
I got my mind made up
Come on you can get it
Get it, girl, any time
Say what? Tonight is fine
I got my mind made up
Come on, you can get it, get it
The song "I Got My Mind Made Up" by Instant Funk is a classic disco track that is characterized by its infectious groove and high-energy vocals. The lyrics of the song revolve around the idea of the singer having his mind made up about a particular woman and inviting her to come and get him, indicating a desire for physical intimacy.
The opening lines of the song are an invitation to the object of the singer's desire, encouraging her to come forward and make a move. The repeated chorus line "I got my mind made up" further emphasizes the singer's conviction about his intention. The following lines then describe in a somewhat suggestive manner what the singer is interested in, implying that he is looking for physical pleasure.
The second verse of the song is more explicit in its language, with the singer describing what he wants the woman to do to him in order to earn his attention and affection. The repeated refrain of the song, "Come on you can get it," indicates a sense of urgency and a desire for immediate action.
Overall, the song is a playful and flirtatious take on the theme of sexual desire, set to a backdrop of irresistible rhythm and catchy melody.
