Sorry
Intwine Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
To her heart she cries and
Waits for it to stop
All the aching inside is
Taking her last part
No more days of pain
Threw your chance away
Now she's sad
A lonely sure she was
Home is like before
You keep thinking the world is
Spinning round and round, nahoo
While all he did with his life is
Soon be ......
Soon it's over
No more days of pain
Not the games he played
Threw your chance away
Now he's sad
Alone, yeah, sure you was
Home is like before
While you said sorry
Sorry, sorry, sorry again
No more days of pain
Not the games you played
Threw your chance away
Now you're sad
A lonely sure your ware
Home is like before
While you said sorry
Looking back
What you...
And what you did
Is much too late
It was just a game
Sorry, sorry, sorry again
You just say
the words
Intwine's song "Sorry" is a heart-wrenching ballad about a person who has made a mistake in a relationship and is desperately trying to make amends. The repetition of the word "sorry" throughout the song emphasizes the gravity of the situation and the deep regret felt by the singer. The opening line "To her heart she cries and waits for it to stop" sets the tone for the rest of the song, portraying the emotional turmoil the singer is experiencing. The line "All the aching inside is taking her last part" adds to this emotional weight, suggesting that the singer may feel as though they are losing a part of themselves because of the mistake they made.
The chorus of the song is particularly impactful, with the lines "No more days of pain, not the games you played, threw your chance away, now she's sad" conveying the lasting harm caused by the mistake made. The line "Alone, yeah, sure you was, home is like before, while you said sorry" highlights the fact that simply saying sorry is not enough to undo the damage that has been done. The second half of the song addresses the singer directly, with the lines "Looking back, what you did, it's much too late, it was just a game" suggesting that the singer is realizing the gravity of their mistake too late and that the relationship is irreparable.
