1. Inure is an active industrial band that was formed in the summer of 1999, shortly after its founding members Adam Moore and Robert Vogel arrived in Los Angeles. With similar musical influences and tastes in production, the duo sought out to create a sound reminiscent of the "golden era" of industrial dance music, injected with their unique and updated ideas of where they'd like to hear the genre move. With Adam's formal training in Audio Production at the Art Institute of Seattle, and Rob's lengthy programming and musical experience, the two easily began sculpting what became their debut album, "Seemless". Layered with heavy beats, driving basslines, and thick atmospheres, Inure managed to capture exactly what they were looking for – the depth and feel of classic industrial, with forward-thinking production and sound design. After the collapse of their label (Dying Culture) the duo continued performing live shows and officially welcomed Sam P. (PULSE LEGION, IMPERATIVE REACTION) as a permanent 3rd member of Inure. With months of dedicated studio work, the trio's second album Subversive is ready for release on Alfa Matrix in early 2006. Produced by Ted Phelps (IMPERATIVE REACTION), Inure's new material has been kicked up a notch, while still maintaining their trademark sound; Dark, malevolent, heavy and layered, with even more straight-forward imaginative synthwork and punchy beats. With the help of Alfa Matrix, Inure will prove to be a major force and fusing their own sound into the evolution of the electro / industrial genre.
2. Inure was a crusty metal band from Baltimore, MD that played from around 1999-2005, recorded an LP in 2002, broke up, reformed and finally called it quits. Members went on to form the doom/sludge band Moonshine and were also involved in Wake Up On Fire and 57 Octaves Below. Their self-titled LP was finally released in August 2006 by Ministry of Peace Records.

Freeze
Inure Lyrics

Always hiding next to me
Relentless in my decisions
Looking for a past, so hard to reach
Jilted light, lay path to reason
What is it I seek to find
Will I ever know or will it grow
I can see the hollow light
The space in your eyes
That reflects on the rise of your dreams
To breathe me, unfolding back like the sense of duration
Underlines I revelate to perpetuate
These perceptions of the skyline
Direction's end reveals the dimensions
Of the trapped light shifting through
Perceptions again and again
Resurrect your fears
To separate your mind from where the body lies
Repeat the cycle, forever is a second
To resurrect your fears, separate your thoughts
From all that time divides
Forever is an instant
Moving toward uncertainty
Unawareness of self
In doubt of what completes me
Synchronicity, call it to be
Our unison in motion reflects this
Fixation riddles out all emotions
As I watch from entropy
Watch the universe stop in your eyes
I hope to find reflections of myself
Before you freeze
These lyrics from Inure's song Freeze portray the struggle of finding oneself through the passing of time. The first few lines describe the presence of shapes and forms that are always hiding next to the singer, representing the obstacles that stand in the way of discovering their true self. The search for a past that seems erased from their memory is constant, and the jilted light lays a path to reason, yet the quest seems to lead nowhere.
The singer expresses their awareness of the void in someone's eyes, a reflection of their unattainable dreams. The sense of duration that unfolds back on them reflects their own frustration with time and the inability to grasp its hold. The preceding lines reiterate the idea that perception is key in finding oneself and that these perceptions need to be constantly reevaluated to reach a higher understanding.
The song leads us to the realization that the only way to uncover our true self is by confronting our fears and separating our thoughts from the constraints of time. The lines, "forever is a second," and "forever is an instant," signify the need to relinquish the obstacles of time and embrace the present moment.
Overall, the lyrics of Freeze suggest that finding oneself is a constant struggle that requires constant reevaluation and confrontation of fears.
