Dying To Live
Invocator Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

A thousand questions strap a
Leash around your neck
Restricting your every move
Assuring you no regrets

If I can′t be me
Release myself I would
Choose not to be

Im just dying to live
Were all just dying to live
I see reason why

What do you think
Dedication to the world that
They spoke wich took
All and never gave you
Anything but

Hope

You reject my hand think you
Earned some pride
Think you understand just
When time is right

Passion supreme

As we collide the moment
You ever stop to ride

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Invocator's song Dying To Live explore the struggle of living a fulfilling life in a society that often imposes expectations and limitations on individuals. The opening lines of the song describe the feeling of being held back by a thousand questions that restrict one's every move, representing the societal norms and expectations that can become like a leash around one's neck. The assurance of no regrets suggests that conformity and playing it safe are often prioritized over taking risks and following one's true desires.

The next lines express a desire to release oneself, to be true to who they are and not conform to society's expectations. The repetition of "Choose not to be" emphasizes the frustration of wanting to break free from societal constraints, but feeling powerless to do so. The chorus of the song, "I'm just dying to live, we're all just dying to live," speaks to the universal human desire to live a fulfilling life, but often being held back by societal expectations and limitations.

The following lines describe the dedication to the world that has taken so much from us, representing the societal expectations that can be oppressive and draining. The word "Hope" suggests that despite this struggle, there is still a glimmer of hope for living a fulfilling life. The final lines of the song describe the rejection of help from others, a sense of earned pride and understanding just when the time is right. The collision of passion in the moment represents the powerful feeling of breaking free from societal limitations and living a life that is true to oneself.

Overall, the lyrics to Dying To Live speak to the struggle of living a fulfilling life in a society that often imposes expectations and limitations on individuals. The song emphasizes the universal human desire to break free from these constraints, to be true to oneself and to live a life that is fulfilling.

The mix on this is different than my CD. On this one, the guitar seems more in the front than the vocals. I like it, it sounds crisper.

Maybe the audios i used in the video are from a remastered version or something. Anyways, thanks for leaving a comment, specially on an Invocator's album!
