Day By Day

I wake up every morning
To find I'm pushed aside
I feel I should be soaring high, high, high
High up in the sky
We're all incompetent
We're into happy endings
We always bring each other down, down, down
Bring each other down
And everything we wanted
To believe will come our way
And though sometimes it's harder than it seems
What we see is what we get right now
Right now
No matter what they say
We'll take it day by day
Day by day
You never think ahead
There might be no tomorrow
Use it all up instead
And somehow they'll learn to survive
They'll learn to survive
Can't you read the sign?
No matter what they say
We'll take it day by day
Somehow they'll learn to survive
So here we are again
Right back to the beginning
We'll make it to the end
As we all bring each other down, down, down
Bring each other down
All there seems to be is one way out
And everything we wanted
To believe will come our way
And though sometimes it's harder than it seems
What we see is what we get right now
Right, right now
Right now
Day by day, by day
The song "Day by Day" by Ira Losco is a reflective and introspective piece that explores the feelings of dissatisfaction, incompetence, and indifference that we experience in life. The singer is constantly searching for something more and feels that she is being held back from achieving her full potential. She longs to soar high up in the sky but seems to be constantly pushed aside. The lyrics suggest that we often bring each other down rather than support each other towards our goals, which makes it difficult to believe that everything we want will come our way.
The chorus, "No matter what they say, we'll take it day by day," expresses a sense of resilience and determination to keep going despite the challenges and obstacles that may come our way. The lyrics suggest that we should live in the present moment rather than constantly worrying about the future because there might be no tomorrow. The singer encourages us to use up all of our energy and take each day as it comes because somehow, we will learn to survive.
