Yeah, sure, sucks for him and all, but no sympathy from me. He did this to himself. It's not like getting terminated because you were just on the wrong end of a layoff or even getting terminated because you made a seriously error on the job or just ended up in a job you performed poorly in.

I mean, that sucks. I got fired from being a salesperson years ago, because I just was never cut out to sell things, it was obvious and I was worse at it than other salespeople.

I feel for people in that situation. But he did this to himself, he knew better, he just thought he could get away with it.

I absolutely feel for his coworkers who have gone years truly believing he was someone else and caring for him. I don't doubt their honesty. The today show people are really great folks. I know some of them just a wee bit. This was a true shock. He hid it from them. Others knew, but they didn't

When I woke up this morning hearing this news through my twitter feed, I was completely in shock. I mean, I couldn't believe what had just happened. That is a shame, but I'm proud of the woman who stepped forward and told her story- you can't stay silent if that behavior bothers you. However, to me, it didn't seem like he would do anything like that, but since this came out, it was just a shocker. That's the way it is. I felt sorry for him, Savannah and Hoda, the whole TODAY show team, as well as the NBC News team.

Hey, way to go! It's always great when you tell the country that you're sad and heartbroken for a dear, dear friend who's sexually abused who knows how many women during his tenure alongside you at your place of employment. Of course, you had to throw it out at there finally that you also support the victim who came forward, but that was clearly an afterthought. You should be ashamed of yourself for what you said and the way you handled yourself. Pretending that Lauer was someone a sympathetic figure in this is just how men have gotten away w/ this type of behavior forever, and your words to millions and millions of people reinforces that belief. It's words like this on a nationwide platform that lead to violence against women, b/c this type of wrongheaded belief gets ingrained in people's heads that we should feel empathy for the abusers.

I just want to say that Savannah and Hoda handled that announcement in the best way possible. They showed their feelings of confusion and hurt while acknowledging that they love their former cohost. Recognizing that tension and being lost for answers is a very real response and one that I hope brings more people together to have a conversation. I remember this episode where Matt lauer was terminated. It goes to show you that the NBC and the today show do not pull punches. NBC is the first Network amongst the other two major networks and fox to really stand up and take all the situation and come back the problem. What Matt lauer did was irresponsible and unreprehensible. That is one of the reasons why this episode that I'm watching right now which was Eric back then shows that NBC does not pull any punches they don't tolerate that kind of incident and they will never tolerate it at all. So I understand how NBC took action basically remove Matt lauer from the company. Sexual misconduct had no place in the company. So I'd still like to congratulate NBC for doing what they did. Because they took a stand against things like this. Matt lauer's conduct was he responsible irreprehensible and uncalled for. So that's why I remember hearing about that episode and I was very shocked to hear that Matt lauer was terminated that day. However, not if that's all over with now at least now NBC could move on and basically keep doing what they're doing.
