LITERALLY, THE MULTIPLAYER IS THE MAIN ATTRACTION! IT IS LITERALLY THE VERY ONE AND ONLY REASON WHY 99.999999% OF COD PLAYERS KEEP COMING BACK TO PLAY COD. MULTIPLAYER HAS REPLAYABILITY. THE CAMPAIGN SIMPLY DOES NOT.
IT LITERALLY DOES NOT MATTER IF A COD CAMPAIGN WINS A LITERALLY GOLDEN MEDAL AWARD FOR "BEST SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIN IN AN FPS GAME". A campaign is LINEAR as opposed to multiplayer being DYNAMIC.
I love campaigns just as much as you do, but you play a campaign only once, MAYBE TWICE, and you've already seen everything the campaign has to offer. In a campaign you travel a predetermined path before reaching the end. In multiplayer, there is no end, only temporary victories. No predetermined paths, you can fight the enemy whatever way you want, In WHATEVER DIRECTION YOU WANT.
Why is it, do you think, that singleg-player-only games drop down to dirt cheap prices just a MERE FEW MONTHS AFTER RELEASE?

That gun was SO OBSCENELY BROKEN OP, NEVER GOT NERFED, EVERY MATCH JUST BOILED DOWN TO *WHO CAN GET GUUD WITH A BAL*.

He's just another lame cliche I'M JUST EVIL BECAUSE I'M EVIL, YOU'RE WEAK AND I'M STRONG, YOU'RE TO SENTIMENTAL, ONLY RUTHLESS PSYCHOPATHIC MURDERERS CAN BE WINNERS OF WAR type of villain, and we've literally seen that hundreds of times already in movies games AND BOOKS.
There's a reason why the og modern warfare series was praised by nearly everyone on the planet, NOT COUNTING THE 2019 SPINOFF REMAKE.
It was praised because the story was BELIEVABLE, THAT ACCURATELY PORTRAYED REAL LIFE WAR, NONE OF THE CHARACTERS WERE CLICHÉ, THEY ALL HAD REAL, DOWN TO EARTH HUMAN PERSONALITIES, NOT SOME FUCKING COOKING CUTTER I'M A FUCKING RAMBO WANNABE GUNG-HO WITH A DICK THE SIZE OF TRUMP'S EGO.
WHY, WHY DOES NO ONE UNDERSTAND THAT?!?

It sucks that advanced warfare was subjected to the “if the multiplayer sucks, the whole game sucks” treatment. I personally loved this campaign.

The campaign was decent. Kind of forgettable to be honest. It felt like it was trying to be a Halo Reach COD clone. I enjoyed both games, but they really jumped the shark with this game for sure.
