(2) The name "Ism" was used by another band from New York in the 2000s. They released a few albums but now appear to be defunct (no new material for years and their website is down). While likely aware of the original band, they claimed to have filed a U.S. trademark for the name.
(3) ISM is also a hand-carving, brick-beat-maker from England (Invincible Smiling Marcus).
(4) Ism is an abrasive Sludge Metal/Powerviolence band from Ontario, Canada. http://ism0.bandcamp.com/

Ism Lyrics

All I had to do was everything
I had a purpose, my heart was in my throat
I was put here for a reason
I felt so clear
We had no time
It was the end of the world
I'd never felt so alive
And if the time had come you'd feel real
Urgency
If you wondered what you're made of
Now's the time to see
I had a dream, we could sink or float
Only I could tell the difference
Now that I'm on the job, we'll see who makes the jokes
I think I might become addicted
And if the time had come you'd feel real
Urgency
If you wondered what you're made of
Now's the time to see
Bring on Apocalypse
And we will feel alive today
If we were standing on the edge
We just might find that we believe
Feel real
Feel real
Urgency
I felt so clear
We had no time
It was the end of the world
I'd never felt so alive
And if the time had come you'd feel real
Urgency
If you wondered what you're made of
Now's the time to see
Bring on Apocalypse
And we will feel alive today
If we were standing on the edge
We just might find that we believe
Feel real
Feel real
Urgency
Feel Real
All you have to do
is listen closely to the lyrics of Ism's song "Urgency" to understand its deeper meaning. The song explores the idea of purpose and the need to feel alive, particularly in difficult times. The opening line of the song, "I had a dream, I could save the world, all I had to do was everything" immediately sets the tone for the rest of the song. It's about the desire to make a difference, to have a purpose, and to do everything in one's power to help others.
The line "we had no time, it was the end of the world" can be interpreted in a number of ways. It could be seen as a metaphor for the urgency of the situation, where there is no time to waste and every second counts. It could also be interpreted as a sign of hopelessness, where the world is ending and there is nothing that can be done about it. However, the singer emphasizes that in this moment, they feel more alive than ever before.
The chorus of the song reinforces the idea of urgency, and encourages the listener to take action. It suggests that there is no time to waste, and that the moment to act is now. The line "bring on apocalypse and we will feel alive today" may seem pessimistic, but it actually reinforces the idea that in times of crisis, people often find the strength and courage to act.
Overall, "Urgency" is a song about finding purpose and meaning in life, even in the most difficult of circumstances. It encourages the listener to take action, to make a difference, and to never give up.

Hey Jerraard, cool interview but I have to agree to disagree about being a "Gibson Man", I'm a total "FENDER MAN"" all the way, sorry, Fender Jaguar thinline or vintage is the way to go, + jazzmasters, The wag pedal is one of my favorites to, use it a lot , not digitech though, and the only other effects I might use are reverb or slight chorus on a solo, otherwise I like to here my guitar naturally clean, it sounds that good, hopefully one day you will learn to love Fender the way people sho
