His parents come from Ponodougou, sub-prefecture of Boundiali. They speak the Mandingo, one of the languages of the Mandingo kingdom, and are able to express in other dialects: malinké, Bambara, dioula... so, when they moved to finally arrive in the district of Treichville in Abidjan with its population of uprooted failed in the urban odds and ends, (the Treichville of Jean Rouch, "Treichtown" for the lovers of reggae), the parents of Ismaël feel at home. But in Treichville, the vaccination campaigns are not yet in the style of the epoch and at two years old, their elder son Issiaka is thrown down by the polio.
It is the end of the Seventies. Issiaka listens to funk music and dreams of the smurfer like the American kids he sees on TV. In 1981, Bob Marley dies, and the elder start to listen to much more reggae.
One evening on the television broadcast "Première Chance (first Chance)" of Roger Fulgence Kassy, Ivory Coast discovers Alpha Blondy. He, also, sings in dioula, another Mandingo dialect. For Issiaka, the way is traced. He chooses a name of artist, Ismaël Isaac, and besieges the Ivorian television. He threads on the set of "Première Chance (first Chance)", but nobody wants to listen to him. One day, when the musicians left to lunch. George Kouakou sees Ismaël hidden in a corner "Me also, I want to sing!". George, keyboard player and arranger of the orchestra of the Radio/Television of Ivory Coast, is immediately conquered. He brings his protégé to see Roger Fulgence Kassy who decides on the spot to program him on "Première Chance (first Chance)".
Ismaël devotes to his career. He works the singing with the brothers Keita, Hassan and Ousseine, two twins of the district, and finds a producer. Koné Dodo, with whom he records two tapes, "Liberté (Freedom)" and "Tchilaba" in (86), "Yatiman" in (89) with Aboubacar Sidiki Doumbia. Shortly afterwards, Ousseine Keita dies of a tuberculosis badly treated, and Ismaël wants to stop everything. He will later on record "Rahman"(90), his first CD, produced by Ibrahima Sylla with Moctar Wurie and Boncana Maïga. The success of "Rahman" will make him known in the metropolis where Philippe Constantin signs him for Island Records; "Taxi Jump" is released in 1993, with Godwin Logie on the mixing desk and a lot of great names. After the death of his producer, Ismaël Isaac leaves Polygram.
For "Treich Feeling" in (97), Ismaël Isaac signs with Dominique Misslin and entrusts the majority of the arrangements to George Kouakou, who’s asked to come from New York for the occasion, and some others to Moctar Wurie, both accomplices of long standing, and to Cheick Tidiane Seck, representative of the Mandingo modernity. The majority of the musicians is constituted the "Old men" of Abidjan: Camus, Mao, Sam, Ibis, Christian Polloni and Amy Bamba (who played with Alpha Blondy), Etienne M’Bappé and the brass section (musicians of Salif Keita).
Then in the year 2000, Ismaël Isaac releases "Black System" produced by Ibrahima Sylla in collaboration with the Company “Showbiz”.
Of his ingenuous voice, Ismaël states the lesson that life brought to him.
The whole with nobility and humility, with his major faith in the values of humanity: words of a standing man that nothing can knock down.

@souleymanedoukoure2329
