It has to do with the distribution of the toxin. If it's injected, then it's venom. If it's on the skin, then it's poison.

But since I last wrote here I've learned that there actually are poisonous snakes too. So the joke was on me the whole time. :)

The Yellowbelly Sea Snake is the only snake that could be considered poisonous. It acquires its toxin from eating other animals. I'm not actually 100% sure weather or not this is enough to be considered poisonous. But let's just say we all learned something here today :)

God, I love this song. EVERY. FUCKING.VERSION. I first heard this song on the film Lawless, the Emmylou Harris cover of it. Then I heard the orginal by Townes Van Zandt on the film Cavalry. I just discovered this version today, and I like it, not as much as the other two, but its still pretty damn epic.

Well, does that matter? They also sang "I've got poison". And if "I" refers to a snake, which is clear that it does, it's wrong.
