So this where timbaland stole this from because he never gave these ppl their credit and “lick shots” was my favorite song too
Hate to find out its just a sample and didn’t come from his mind

That's the nature of sampling - it's up to the listeners/music nerds to figure out where the original sample is, if there's any sample recognized. Producers are almost never expected to cite their sample sources (especially since they wouldn't be sure what the original source would be when it could've gone through multiple layers of sampling). This is a common trope of All music (that aren't performed by a band).

Also, "stole" seems quite a loaded implication.

@ReGen i say stole because tim definition of sampling is far off from what sampling is
If you sample a record that record has to be cleared
Tim has been sued on multiple occasions for not giving credit to those he sampled from
If you cant give credit or if its not cleared its stealing especially samples longer than 10 seconds

@ReGen BlizzDaMusician is right. You can sample whoever you want, as long as this sample is legally cleared for you to use.
"Producers are almost never expected to cite their sample sources" except that legally they have to. When Fatboy Slim produced his biggest hit, "The Rockafeller Skank", all of the royalties are split between the original artists he sampled from, which means he gets no royalties at all from this song. The Prodigy also asks permission from the original artists they sample from, and usually cite "Track _ contains a sample of '____' by _____".

In fact I remember a case when a house producer sampled vocals from an 80's hit and asked the artist for permission to use it, sending him the track. The artist was so impressed, that not only he allowed him to use it, he actually re-recorded these vocals for the producer to use.

What bothers me with Timbaland was how he handled the situation with the Finnish artists he sampled from. It's one thing not to know the source of the samples you want to use, but he was so obnoxious about it.
