One of the most underrated films of all time. And what a soundtrack!

@alejandrogalera

No.

@alejandrogalera

Soundtrack is marvelous. Film is not so good

@unseelie63

Loved this film.Wished very much there had been at least one more film to follow it.I agree,the soundtrack is amazing.Boccherini was unfamiliar to me;this piece is a gift.And the Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis,is profoundly moving!

@RenderBarn

@@alejandrogalera Why do you think that?

@alejandrogalera

@@RenderBarn because I think it's a good film and it's well considered.

Sailing on into the endless sea. The ending gives me chills. These men were incredibly brave and tough.

Some men chose this life because there was little opportunity in the city or nation. And yes, they had to be brace and tough, even without war and sea battles. Did you know that some of the injuries did not come gun fire or cannon, but from the splintered wood. This splintered wood could be like a knife edge when it hit your skin,

@Galastel

@@georgeweber7101 We see it right in the beginning of the film, in the first battle: there's the old sailor getting his skull fractured by a heavy piece of rigging falling on his head, and there's Lord Blankney getting two big chunks of wood going through his arm. That's the reason the arm needs to be amputated later.

@eallae

They were but they also had no choice. Being a « coward » was punished by death. Fleeing was punished by death. Refusing to chase an enemy was punished by death. And so many more things
