This version, by Ivy Hunter who wrote the song, is just the absolute best version. It remains unreleased officially to this day. And we are STILL waiting for his long unreleased LP that was going to be released by RIGHT STUFF and then was cancelled at the last minute. Kudos to friend, Ivy Hunter for these great songs.

This is just one of those songs - from probably Motown's best songwriter - that keeps resounding in my head. It's that good. And this, the original version is just that incredible slice of real soul that Gordy always assigned to the back burner while the hits were paying the bills. Just great!
Andy Wood
Just simply the best, a great track.

I know this guy wrote the letter but I like the way the Spinners arranged it better, especially the line “how’d you find the nerve to take a pen in your hand”.... you can just feel the hurt and anger.

Another song that Ivy Hunter wrote that I love is Sorry Is A Sorry Word which Ivy originally recorded with The Temptations on backup vocals! That original version is still in the Motown vaults!
