Its Iyanya
The lyrics of "Ur waist" by Iyanya are about a man who is obsessed with a woman's waist and wants to be close to her. The chorus repeats "Ur waist all I want is your waist" and "Figure eight," referring to the ideal waist-to-hip ratio. It is clear that the man is physically attracted to the woman and is lusting over her. The song includes references to Nigerian actresses Tonto Dikeh and Genevieve Nnaji and Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson, who the singer claims has his medicine which could be an allusion to the supernatural.
The verses of the song are more explicit about the man’s desire for the woman. The lyrics say “the way you wine it to me, you make me wan spend my money,” and “the way that you give it to me when you give it to me” indicating that he is willing to spend money on her and that they are sexually involved. The Makosa dance is also mentioned in the song, and the lyrics encourage the woman to roll her waist in a Makosa dance style.
In essence, the song “Ur Waist” is about a man who is attracted to a woman's body, specifically her waist and hips. The lyrics of the song also suggest that he is willing to spend money on her and that they may be sexually involved.
