The Fool
Jรธrund Almรฅs / Mr. Kronskij Lyrics

I miss my baby
Yes she was lonely
She was lonely
I miss my baby
I played the fool and hurt you
What is wrong with me
Clearly I can't see
I played the fool and lose you
The blame is on myself
There is no one else
Baby
All she needed was a little time
To be there with me
No cars no flights no time apart
Because she was lonely
How could I be so blind
It was rite before me
She didn't care about my money
I played the fool and hurt you
What is wrong with me
Clearly I can't see
I played the fool and lose you
The blame is on myself
There is no one else
Baby
I've spent all my time not seeing
It was just about my dreams
When she was always there
I was so unfair
She find the time for me
She was so so so in love
So in love with me
I've hurt this girl and now she's gone
I can't believe I've
Played the fool and hurt you
What is wrong with me
Clearly I can't see
I played the fool and lose you
The blame is on myself
There is no one else
Yes I just wanna know
How could I be so god damn blind
How could I never ever find the time
For you girl oh yes
For you girl baby
I said how could I be so god damn blind
How could I never ever find the time
For you girl oh babe
For you
I've played the fool and hurt you
What is wrong with me
Clearly I can't see
I played the fool and lose you
The blame is on myself
There is no one else
All she needed was a little time
To be there with me

No cars no flights no time apart
Because she was lonely

Overall Meaning

In "The Fool," Jรธrund Almรฅs, also known as Mr. Kronskij, reflects on how society is often deceived by those in power through their manipulation of information and the media. The lyrics are critical of the constant bombardment of news and information that often misleads or confuses those who consume it. The repeated phrases โ€œblack, white, and grayโ€ and โ€œhow can they fool us todayโ€ highlight the themes of deception and confusion present throughout the song.

The verse โ€œThey try to pump it up, forget about the facts, Sometimes it hurts but it's never taken backโ€ speaks to the sensationalization of news and information that overshadows the importance of truth and accuracy. The line โ€œIt's all good news, we can buy and sell, Yeh! Don't stop now you can't unring a bellโ€ suggests that society is conditioned to believe that everything is positive and can be bought and sold, regardless of the actual circumstances.

The chorus serves as a call to action, encouraging listeners to hold their heads up high and question the information presented to them. The song offers a critique of the media and the powers that manipulate it, urging listeners to think critically about the news and information they consume.

Yes, she's quite good, but when you try to emulate another singer - in her case, Reba McIntyre - people tend to overlook you.

When country music was country music. Lee Ann's voice counterbalanced against that crying steel guitar is amazing. Only Lee Ann can sing this and do it justice.
