Prelude
J.W. Guercio Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The Beginning is always fun
The feels, the vibes, the energy
It's this very specific feeling you get when everything's new and fresh
You feel like nothing can make you happier
Than to be in that very spot
In that very moment
With that very person
It starts off sweet and innocent
And turns into something so real
So raw and so special
Something you never want to lose
When even the ugly feels right

You know you've got something
"Beautifully Toxic"

One of my favorite pieces on this fabulous soundtrack! ELECTRA GLIDE IN BLUE is one of my all-time favorite movies. I went to see it at a showing here in Los Angeles a couple weeks ago--and it was great!

@eddiewalker59

Oh, I love it! Yep, that be the Chicago guys in this soundtrack for sure, Jimmy Pankow's distinct sound on Trombone and the Kathester on guitar wah-wah. Thanks for sharing this :)

@davidmcwhorter2470

@@davidmcwhorter2470 Oh that is so cool! Thanks for sharing that! Hearing this sound, Jim Guercio had a big part of Chicago's signature sound. Here is the evidence. ;)

@guintube

When I was 15 I saw this movie in Paris in '73 by myself...it was R rated at the time....it's a cult classic now. James Guercio produced many musicians including Chicago....Terry Kath and Peter Cetera were in the movie. Guercio went on to build the Caribou Ranch in Colorado where many groups recorder music. It's a good story I recommend reading up about it.
