We hadn't driven very far.

There in the path we were traveling was an obstacle.

The car was stalled, the engine was dead.
Unfortunately, our vehicle ceased functioning, leaving us stranded on the road.

I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right.
I was not able to put the brakes on the car, so I had to swerve in an attempt to avoid the obstacle.

Never forget the sound that night ...
That evening's sounds will always be remembered vividly.

The cryin' tires, the bustin' glass.
The loud cry of the tires and the sound of the glass breaking can not be forgotten.

The painful scream that I heard last.
The heart-wrenching scream that I last heard from my lover still echoes in my mind.

Well, when I woke up, the rain was pourin' down.
After the accident, I woke up with rain pouring down on me.

There were people standing all around.
When I awoke, there were people around me, possibly people who witnessed the incident.

Something warm running in my eyes,
Tears were streaming down my face, probably due to the pain of the situation.

But I found my baby somehow that night.
Despite the chaos, I was able to connect with my lover once again that night.

I raised her head, and when she smiled, and said,
I held her head up, and I saw her smile through the pain.

"Hold me darling for a little while."
She said, "Hold me, my love, just for a short time."

I held her close. I kissed her our last kiss.
I held her tightly and kissed her one last time, realizing it would be our final kiss.

I found the love that I knew I would miss.
I discovered the true extent of love's impact, something that I knew I would miss.

But now she's gone, even though I hold her tight.
Despite holding her close, she has passed away and has left this world.

I lost my love ... my life, that night.
On that fateful night, I lost not only my love, but a part of my very existence.
