Ça m’donne les blues
J’ai des bouffées de chaleur
Je risque une 9:12
Ça va trop vite, je sais
La vie pourtant mériterait
Qu’on y regarde de plus près
Qu’on prenne un temps d’arrêt
Nos lunettes respectives
Et qu’on apprenne à partager
La perspective
Toi et moi
Ça fait quoi
Bientôt dix ans
Qu’on court en se disant
Qu’on a le temps ?
Or, le temps débarque
On sait depuis Baudelaire
Qu’il est trop tard
On au_Rimbaud faire semblant
Or tout l’or du monde
Saurait pas freiner les secondes
Du grand ordinateur
Soyons pas naïfs
Y aura pas second life
Quand on coupera l’breaker
Arrête de r’garder l’heure
Ça m’écœure !
On est vivants, quelle chance !
À chaque instant, tout recommence
Et puis, dans une vie d’homme
Tous les chemins mènent à rom…ance
L’heure juste, justement, l’heure juste à nous
C’est l’temps d’aimer
En tandem – un avant-gout d’éternité
Arrête de r’garder l’heure
Arrête de r’garder
The lyrics of J. Ivy's song 2012 speak to the fast-paced nature of modern life and the importance of taking a moment to slow down and appreciate the world around us. The song opens with the singer expressing frustration with constantly watching the clock, as it makes them feel down and stressed. They then reflect on the fact that life is moving too quickly and we need to take time to pause and reflect.
The singer turns their attention to the passage of time and how it affects personal relationships. They note that they have been running alongside another person for almost a decade, always telling themselves that they have plenty of time to slow down and spend time together. However, they come to the realization that time has passed them by, and they need to make a conscious effort to connect with each other.
The song ends with a call to action, urging listeners to stop watching the clock and start living in the present moment. The lyrics suggest that it's never too late to make a change, and that focusing on the present can help us create a better future.

QU’ON Y REGARDE DE PLUS PRÈS
That we take a closer look at it
QU’ON PRENNE UN TEMPS D’ARRÊT

Almost ten years
QU’ON COURT EN SE DISANT
That we run saying to ourselves
QU’ON A LE TEMPS ?

But time arrives
SANS QU’ON REMARQUE
Without us noticing
À QUEL POINT IL MARQUE NOS ÉCHANGES
How much it affects our interactions
