I WONDER
J. James Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm hypnotized in everything you do
Wish I could forget about you
You moved on I think I should try the same
You hate me cause I'd play these games
I'm killing myself, you don't have to
Life would be an adventure with you
I'm sorry for the things I didn't do
So many things I didn't tell you

Overall Meaning

In J. James's song I Wonder, the singer is expressing his feelings towards someone he seems to have lost. He is still entangled in their memories and every single trait and attitude of the person hypnotizes him. He longs to move on and forget about this person but it seems impossible. The person has already moved on and left him behind, he feels he should do the same but the idea of living without the person feels like a daunting task. He acknowledges that his actions in the past haven’t been the most commendable and this may have led to the separation. He wishes he had done things differently, maybe the results would have been in his favour.
