Avalon
J. M. Rhythm Four Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Now the party`s over I`m so tired.
Then I see you coming
Out of nowhere.
Much communication in a motion
Without conversation or a notion.

Avalon
When the samba takes you
Out of nowhere.
And the background`s fading
Out of focus.
Yes the picture`s changing
Every moment
And your destination
You don`t know it.

Avalon
Avalon
Avalon

When you`re bossa nova
There`s no holding.
Would you have me dancing
Out of nowhere.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Avalon" by J.M. Rhythm Four describe the feeling of being worn out after a party, and then unexpectedly seeing someone who catches your attention. The song talks about the power of non-verbal communication and how it can be just as meaningful as words. The chorus mentions the word "Avalon" which seems to represent a state of being where one's surroundings are in flux and anything can happen. The verse that mentions samba and bossa nova seems to suggest that the song is about the power of music to transport us into different emotional states.

The lyrics of "Avalon" capture the feeling of being lost in a moment or a feeling. The song lyrics seem to evoke a sense of ambiguity and uncertainty that is both exciting and scary at the same time. The use of non-verbal communication and the focus on music create a sense of dream-like quality to the song. It is almost as if the song is suggesting that sometimes we need to lose ourselves in the music and be open to where it takes us.

Mary
...

This is one of my favorite videos ever. Not only is there sheer delight (as always) in Tuba's Skinny's happy, snappy music, but the entire street scene has such authenticity. A stray collarless dog wanders by, searching for food, and a couple passes with such genuine, unbridled joie de vivre as they dance down the street with impromptu exuberance.

Yeah sheh

New Orleans can have a free five-star concert on one side of the street corner and four guys waiting to mug you on the other side. Gotta love it.

@CrueLoaf

couldn't have scripted that dance past any better! That's sheer joy! Love that couple!!!
