This battle theme is way better than the psp one. I think it embodies the tension and the difficulty of the situation, you are not in a showtime like in P5 you’re freaking facing the nihilistic out of control god of Maki’s world in a desperate attempt to stop it from destroying the entire world.

Out of the entire ost, something always brings me back to this song. There's this unpredictable, constantly shifting quality to it and yet the flow throughout the different sections feels so deliberate and perfect. The way it serves as a capstone for the Kandori leitmotif is also brilliant.

There's just no other final boss theme quite like it. RIP Aoki.

Some parts of this remind me of Giygas' theme in Earthbound. The weird, glitchy background noise and unsettling tones specifically. The Masked Man final fight theme reminds me of this even more.

This whole soundtrack uses a good portion of Roland Sound Canvas 88 Pro patches. This song for its main riff uses the orchestral hit from that module.
Persona 2, Devil Summoner, and Soul Hackers also use the same sound module for the most part.
