Here's an interesting take on auto loans: The margin on most cars is very small. The car companies make most of their money in their finance arm. Auto loans ARE the auto business, which is the only real remaining heavy manufacturing left in America.

We have some capitalistic traits in the middle and lower ens, but we are an oligarchy which controls your debt based ponzi scheme monetary system, its interest rates and the cartels that rape us.. I have car payments because my old beater finally quit and being poor I had no option but to finance it. Thus I am a slave to the lender. Um...you are looking at this incorrectly. In 2018, there were about 127.59 million households in the United States. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, a household consists of all the people who occupy a housing unit. Assuming that only one car in a household is 3 months delinquent, that means that 5.5% of all households are affected.

@Duck The Red America makes by far the most carbon pollution per person of any country in the world, 5% population making 20% of the waste. Our carbon pollution has increased in the last few years. You know the president of coal hasn't done a thing to reduce carbon footprints.
For nuclear, there are already problems about the radioactive waste nearly leeching into our major aquifers (groundwater for crops and drinking). Anti-regulation dumping of nuclear waste into the desert for profit might have had a downside... The risks of increased flooding we've already signed up for from this much climate destabilization only make nuclear disposal even more of a crapshoot for radioactive annihilation of any land between Arizona and Mississippi (the water travels).
Germany has been doing programs like those in the GND for a decade and they are the leading economy in Europe. Their people are free and prosperous, and there are more actual Nazis in America than Germany now. GND does not hurt freedom, the economy, or cause dictators.
We have opened our eyes. Look past the myths rich people pay to be told (designed to keep them rich) and you too will see sun and wind is the way out of a tight jam.
