After the passing of his Father in the summer of 2003, J. Robb was faced with the task of becoming man of the house. The determination and passion that he once possessed for music immediately grew from a pastime to an emotional outlet. After his senior year of high school J. Robb started work on his first mixtape which was released in 2004. Since 2004 J. Robb's archive of original tracks continued to build. After a 3 year hiatus, on April, 28th, 2007 J. Robb released a double CD, CD One contains 19 original songs & CD two; 22 photo's, 10 Mp3's, 7 Videos & A Poster appropriately named Long Awaited. He intends on continuing to promote this project while he prepares his album titled Watch & Learn. J. Robb does not feel that he has anything to loose going into the rap game head first, rolling with the punches and using hooks and punches of his own to survive.
"To be perfectly honest the way I see it is, there are a lot of Weak Links and in the end the Emcee's that are built for this will come out on top, those that do not take it seriously will simply fade away." - J. Robb
J. Robb has been called one of the hardest working artists to come out of the GTA. He has made the transition from a freestyle/battle Emcee to a seasoned recording artist. But if words on a paper don't impress you, just listen to the music.
Sometimes I Cry

Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
I had a little girl, I guess I really loved her
Everynight I was thinkin' of her
You can't mix your love with money
So everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
Well I know that I am just a poor man
But is it wrong to love 'cause I'm not a rich man
Everytime you mix your love with money
Everytime you're gonna love somebody
So everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
The lyrics to J. robb's song "Sometimes I Cry" speak to the pain and heartache that can come with trying to navigate a relationship between love and money. The repetition of "everyday I have to cry some" highlights the constant struggle and emotional toll that this situation takes on the singer. He had a "little girl" who he loved deeply, but it seems that their relationship fell apart due to his financial struggles. He recognizes that you can't mix love with money, because someone is bound to get hurt in the process.
The chorus of "dry the water from my eyes some" suggests that the singer is trying to put on a brave face and move on, but the pain of the situation continues to come to the surface. The second verse reiterates the idea that even though the singer is not a wealthy man, it doesn't mean he's not capable of loving someone. However, the harsh reality is that when love and money are mixed, someone inevitably suffers.
Overall, the lyrics of "Sometimes I Cry" convey a deep sense of pain and regret stemming from a failed relationship. The singer seems to recognize that he made mistakes along the way, but he also acknowledges that he deserves love and happiness, despite his financial struggles.
