When you're this small and you eat your belly is gonna bloat up, so you always feel fat even as a walking skeleton.

What Eugenia does not understand is that fixing that one issue is easy, i just learned that i could just suck my gut in and hold it.

The fat can't stretch your skin if you don't let it. She just needs to add a small workout routine, even just jogging two or three times a week will Force your body to move the food you ate to the muscles you just burned.

It’s really hard to predict what will end up happening to her. There are girls/women who die of anorexia who don’t look nearly as deathly as her. It wouldn’t surprise me if she died, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if she lasted another ten years. She naturally small, her body has by now figured out how to squeeze every last ounce of anything she puts in her mouth and I think she must have some kind of regimen of drinkable protein/ supplements thats is keeping her going longer than most can. I think her fate will ultimately depend on a few things 1) what ends up happening to the mother in that time frame. If the mother passes somehow, I think she will have to figure out how to have a relationship with another person. It’s clear theres an unhealthy co dependency going on and the mother doesn’t want her well for whatever reason. The second thing is her social media audience. If people stopped watching her and there was no one to be like “ what’s wrong with your arms?’ “ why don’t you drink water on a 12 hour stream?”ect. She wouldnt have any audience and would have to actually find something else to do and somewhere else to go to get attention. What happens is her channel IS an eating disorder. She’s filming it, and either people come to watch out of concern, curiosity, or to shame and harass her. Her “content” is either addressing people’s concerns with the “it’s fine guys ect” or shes reading out hate comments. Either way, it’s content and views and comments are her livelihood. I don’t think Eugenia’s channel would exist without her eating disorder and I think her eating disorder would have a shot at going away if she no longer had social media. The problem at this point is this has gone on too long. Nearing 30, she’s lost out on the developmental milestones of young adults. She didn’t finish high school in person, she didn’t go to college, she hasn’t had a job outside of youtube. she hasn’t lived on her own, dated, had friends her own age that weren’t YouTubers. Then of course covid added more isolation into the mix for years. Some people even with eating disorders manage to go off to college and still kind ogf maintain a normal adult life but the problem is hers is just way too severe for that, it’s mentally and socially stunted her. I suspect she might have been sexually abused because theres no motivation for any kind of romantic partner. Some people will get really heavy to thwart potential predators because it makes them feel safe bc they are undesireable. Some people resort to anorexia for the opposite reason. Women with obvious anorexia ( Rachel Zoe) and now admitted anorexia Jackie GoldSchneider still went after men and had their own kids. As shockingly thin as they are and were, they were able to have lives and be relatively normal by societies standards despite the anorexia. Eugenia is falling outside of social norms not only with the anorexia but with everything. It makes me think the anorexia is being used as some kind of resistance to living a normal life because there has been some kind of trauma. It truly is a shame because she seemed like a really wonderful, witty, and interesting person but her disorder completely just took her over. I would place my bets on her passing or her being still in this or even worse condition in ten years time but I still hope for a miracle for her. I’d love to see her recovered after years of intensive therapy, vlogging from her OWN house, with a partner and talking about her passions, starting a makeup line, and a non- profit for young anorexic girls and having a memoir on what the ACTUAL reason for her anorexia was, what kind of abuse or trauma she suffered, how she really survived those years and how she overcame it.

Your body starts to use your internal organs. You'll get energy from 2 keep you alive. So yes, her heart hurt her liver and even her brain are all being eaten by her own body. It's incredibly tragic and is the reason why anorexia is the most fatal mental health disorder.

My heart breaks when I see the difference between the beautiful healthy young girl then the clearly very unwell girl. It almost felt like I had to learn how to read again… I’d go over the same paragraph dozens of times without taking anything in and it took a few weeks for that to start to go away

My god I remember having to spend hours on the simplest homework assignment. I would just lay on the floor after I finished each problem and cry because my brain wasn't working and I was so tired and hungry and cold. I'm in college now and I can do multiple assignments in a row without stopping. Its amazing to feel like a person again.

I struggle with this all the time when I'm reading, I don't have an eating disorder, but I am on a waiting list to be tested for ADHD, my diagnosed ADHD son has the same struggle, it can be so frustrating, especially when your brain just gets tired while reading and decides to stop taking any more in, I'll be in the middle of a really gripping part of the story and then 🧱 wall, happens if someone/thing breaks my concentration too, when I try to pick back up, I can't ☹️ I'm glad you managed to get passed that struggle and (hopefully) your ED 🙂

Okay hear me out... I'm from the Netherlands. I'm 170 CM short and always weighed about 50 KG when I was a teenager. Due to EXTREME stress for a long time, I had a period where I was REALLY underweight (even though before "officially I was underweight as well) and only weighed 43-45 KG. Though doctors checked up on me. Some people are just really slender built, hourglass, long legs, skinny BUT just healthy. I was healthy when I weighed 50 KG, when I became 20 I gained weight finally and got to 55 KG. At age 27 I weighed around 70 KG BUT I was fat! My belly was super big, cellulite everywhere...all because of a desk job. I've always been SUPER active with hobbies like horse back riding (jumping) which I took extremely serious, doing it 3x a week all work included. Weekends too 2 entire days and dancing. I out ate ALL grown man, eating A LOT A LOT! Even midnight snacks. I have a high metabolism. Now I'm 35 and I'm still skinny. I know other women that are my height, also skinny like me. Trust me it doesn't always mean someone isn't healthy. In fact most women in Europe or Netherlands are skinny...

The worst part is that there's absolutely no way she has the energy or functionality anymore to do this by herself. There's a video of her walking up the single stair/concrete bump path thing of her own house and simply lifting herself that few inches one time took all of her energy. Someone else was filming. I've had an ed for a few months now, (I'm currently trying to recover!) and I am left completely physically and emotionally amd mentally drained to the point I have to remember how to be myself again in every aspect. How I think, how I act, how I communicate and how I move has changed severely because the ed drains the body and soul so much. I saw her without makeup once when she was years years younger on youtube and i couldnt believe how beautiful she was. She has always been so kind. Even if she is sick and slower now, she still is so sweet and nice when she has so many reasons not to be. People really test her too with questions like "why do u look like that" because of it and she never snaps. Unbelievable self control and no boundries or ability to fight back when it comes to herself with others who abuse her. It is a recipe for anorexia. I use to underweight as a teen (not on purpose. Had a high metabolism). I had to get my wisdom teeth out. I couldn't really eat much for about a week because of the pain. I lost 10 lbs. One day I looked in the mirror and I had this crazy thought that I liked being this skinny and wanted to lose more. I quickly realized that was messed up thinking. But during that quick irrational moment, I had a feeling of control (crazy). I realized that being that skinny was messing with my brain like I heard about. By the way...being underweight is a miserable way of being. Low energy, brain fog, and not being able to handle emotions. I feel SO much better at my weight now than back then! It took over 5 years for me to realize that I had to eat something every 2 hours to maintain my energy and keep a good healthy weight (life was SO much better after that!) Have you ever had to wait 20 mins after eating just to be able to walk? Have you ever had to lay down 20 min to wait for your body to have enough energy to do anything? Been driving and not been able to think? Miserable!!!

I kept hitting ban on her videos and reporting them for a year until they stopped showing in my feed! thought this was one too and they had come back but it is a different poster? I hope it helps everyone know to eat correctly. As much whole foods as possible. The other thing is USA grows diabetics. One carmel machiato is a months worth of sugar. A small amount of cane sugar is ok. No diet sugars. NO corn syrup or corn oil. Dont drink your fruit. Eat apples and oranges and varied diet including green veggies. Brussel sprouts act like metformin. So does grapefruit but one component can interfere with some meds. Trust me. My partner went diabetic 1000 glucose overnight with pancreatic cancer 2 years ago. Completely changing our diet has helped and it has shrunk a lot. Nothing works better than real food. Its the food pyramid. Not diabetic diet. Ok hope that helps.

As a person with a eating disorder, I either don’t eat at all, or I go through spells where I eat too much, I can never eat at the right amount. I’ve gone from being 280 pounds, to 130 pounds, and right now I’m up to 160 pounds. For people who don’t understand this, it’s insanely hard to eat normal, and it’s hard to understand the concept of what eating normal is for some people. For me, I really have no idea and Tuesday I still can’t eat a recommended normal diet that people eat. It does cause health effects as I’ve had my gallbladder removed and have gastritis along with it very intense IBS. It’s a struggle, but we try to understand like you all do. We just need a little help.

Unfortunately most girls and women have similar or worse experiences. You can't just say "oh well, 🍇 happened, so of course she should be completely messed up" No. It's understandable but it speaks to deeper issues of self esteem and lack of control, and probably anxiety. Less than 3% of 🍇 crimes see the inside of a court room let alone end up in conviction, most women have to learn to cope and move on, unfortunately.

A lot of people who have anorexia develop it because they are trying to fit into beauty standards. But by the end of it, it's often the only thing that they feel they can control in their lives and it completely takes over. They know they don't look prettier that they don't care because they don't feel like they can stop. They don't want to stop and no one can truly force you to get better. You have to want it. I think she's a victim of her family. So much weird stuff, like the 'not incest' drawing she made some years ago. People blame her and say she's an adult and know what she's doing, but that doesn't sit right with me, if you're incredibly dependent teenager going through an ilness that consumes your brain you won't scape that mindset even if you're 30+

Totally agree! But at the same time I think the Shane Dawson video he did opened my eyes up to her reality a little more. That huge bar over the front door is an image I will never be able to forget. There's no way that girl can lift that now that she's fully swung back into late stage anorexia. She's a prisoner in her own home. I'm curious how her childhood was before she developed the ED.

Absolutely true!!! My biggest giveaway after only a year (60 pounds lost and definitely underweight) was stuttering and struggle to remember words. Also brain fog causing me to have less substance to what i said. Now i stutter any time i go with too little food for even a day.

I’ve struggled on and off for a fee years thankfully i didnt do permanent damage. As unsafe as i was i was also trying to be safe consuming as many nutrients and protein as i could and having one day of eating normal high nutrition and protein foods

Unfortunately the only hope is for her to be rushed to the hospital for a medical emergency . I dont think there is any other way shell make it out. No real friends,no competent mother, and no legal force working to help her. Hopefully if she faces an emergency she even gets help at all

She actually did have a core group of friends that were terrified for her. They had her forcefully committed but the hold was only for a few days and Eugenia took it as a personal attack, that no she doesn't have an ED and ended up cutting them out of her life. She talked about it once and it was heartbreaking that she thought they were against her when they were just trying to save her life.

I honestly can't believe she's still alive and it breaks my heart. Her body is trying so hard to keep going. I had anorexia for 12 years which is past the length of time where doctors basically decide you have zero chance of recovery. Finding treatment providers that will help you becomes increasingly difficult even if you are 100% willing to go. But it's so worth it

My friend has a close friend with anorexia for 10 years. She lives in France and it is impossible for her to get help :( She has written a will because even though she wants to get help it is so impossible, nobody will treat her. it is so sad

This is so heartbreaking. I don’t watch Eugenia but Shane Dawson’s (who I also don’t watch) “project” where he invaded the privacy of her home when she was freshly out of rehab and proceeded to ignore everything the expert advised him of really set me off. There’s really nobody in her life that cares enough to help her see that she’s fatally unhealthy. I’d never wish this kind of life on anyone, not even my worst enemy. And on top of that, her first “romantic” encounter with a man was assault??? Everyone in her life has failed her on every level and it shows through her self esteem. If her own mom couldn’t even step up and have a talk with her about how wrong that whole situation was, how can she expect anyone to ever have her back? Sadness beyond words. My heart is just so broken for her. I still hold out hope that she’ll go on another hiatus and get back into rehab and actually recover.

I still remember the way my brain felt when I had an ED. I couldn’t ever focus quite right. I could never really process words that I was hearing. It took so much effort to focus on small things and I zoned out constantly. When I started getting better, I started being able to focus better, I was able to make friends since I was able to actually hold a normal conversation, and I started finding ways to enjoy my life again.

I have an eating disorder. Have had it since highschool. I have days where I just cannot take a bit of anything and when I finally make myself take that first bite I have a panic attack and fight back crying and choking after I just start chewing im fine but I will go days avoiding that first bite. I really wish I wasn't so skinny I really have been trying to gain weight for years and years. Im 33 and my wife doesn't understand still to this day. It sucks it really does. Nothing really makes it happen other than me just not able to take a bite. It was after my accident where I broke my neck and back and had multiple spinal surgeries with many levels of full metal cage and screws through out my spine. Eating disorders are not always a choice and I dont really look like someone who struggles with it. Im 6' and weigh 145 and have been the same weight for years. I was very chunky as a kid so I know im capable of gaining weight. I've put years into working out and had very good results even getting up to 190ish but it always falls apart by a long spurt of no eating.
