JD signed with EMI Music US Latin in November 2003 at the age of 15. Her debut album, Imperfecta/Imperfect, is a predominantly Spanish record which includes three English tracks, all penned by the young singer-songwriter. Not only does she write her own songs, but she plays a mean guitar and takes inspiration from Nirvana, Bob Marley and Enrique Bunbury. The debut was greeted with much fanfare by the media and critics (the Miami Herald declared it the best Latin album of the year of 2004, for instance), and it was indeed an impressive debut. Before the album was even recorded, she managed to grab the attention of the AOL. They created Impulsa, a program built around her, which is the Latin version of Breakers (the same program that helped launch Avril Lavigne and Michelle Branch). They also recorded AOL Sessions, where JD's cover of Outkasts' "Hey Ya" debuted top 10 on their General Market chart in front of artists such as Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and the Beastie Boys.
In addition, she caught the eye of MTV US by grabbing a spot not only as an Advanced Warning artist in August 2004 but also on Discover & Download in February 2005. Natasha made the cover of Maxim en Espanol in October of 2005 at 17 years old and caused many waves by being the youngest girl to pose for the elite Mens magazine.
Most recently, she garnished three Latin Grammy nominations: Best New Artist, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for Lagrimas. All of this before the age of 18! With plans to record a follow up album in English, the future looks bright for this rising star.

Dos años más de dolores que se van a ir
Sin poder respirar, no puedo decir, nada
Sin poder decidir lo que me hare falta,
Me están encerrando en un mundo,
Donde no me van a encontrar,
Que se esta llenando de gente
Dime, dime,
Lo que quieres ya de mi,
Dime, dime,
Ya no quiero sufrir,
Dime, dime,
Lo que quieres ya de mi,
Que no, puedo vivir
Tienes que creer en mi,
Aunque no te guste a ti
Tienes que dejarme sola,
Pero no te olvides de mi,
Me están encerrando en un mundo,
Donde no me van a encontrar,
Que se esta llenando de gente
Why que ya no se puede escapar,
Dime, dime,
Lo que quieres ya de mi,
Dime, dime,
Ya no quiero sufrir,
Dime, dime,
Lo que quieres ya de mi,
Que no, puedo vivir
Dime, dime,
Lo que quieres ya de mi,
Dime, dime,
Ya no quiero sufrir,
Dime, dime,
Lo que quieres ya de mi,
Que no, puedo vivir
The song "Dime" by JD Natasha is an emotional plea to someone who is holding the singer hostage in a world where she cannot freely express herself. The opening lyrics set the scene of the song, with the singer expressing her desire to smell the flowers outside of her current surroundings and her hope that the two years of pain she has been experiencing will soon end. She feels trapped and unable to speak her mind or make decisions for herself. The song's chorus is a plea for someone to tell her what they want from her, as she cannot bear to suffer any longer.
The second verse continues the imagery of being trapped and unable to escape the people filling the world around her. The repetition of the chorus emphasizes the desperation in the singer's voice, as she begs for someone to give her a way out of her current situation. The bridge of the song brings a glimmer of hope, with the singer declaring that the listener must believe in her even if they do not like her. She asks to be left alone, but not forgotten.
Overall, "Dime" is a powerful song about feeling trapped and suffocated, and the desperate need for someone to give direction and hope. The singer's vulnerability and despair make for a moving and relatable experience.
