I am escaping the hustle of the city with my close friends, Iddy and Jay, on a boat ride down the river.

I am surprised to encounter someone from my past in the city, and despite the time that has passed, I still recognized her.

After all these years and she still looks the same
Even though much time has passed, the person from my past still appears unchanged.

I am pleasantly surprised by the familiarity and unchanged nature of this encounter.

Oh and we end up in Brooklyn
After some time spent exploring the city, we eventually made our way to Brooklyn.

It was rainin' so hard
The weather had taken a turn for the worse, with heavy rain falling.

Come up all day
We spent the entire day out and about in the city.

And the rain to clear it off,
The rain helped to cleanse and revitalize the city streets and atmosphere.

Oh we're just people watching on 3rd and St. Mormons ?
We spent time people-watching at a street corner on 3rd and St. (possibly St. Mark's Place in the East Village).

And when the girl's kissing my face, my face
I had a romantic encounter with a girl who was kissing my face.

She was just kissing my face
The kisses were intense and passionate, and I found them enjoyable.

And again, again
I'm looking forward to experiencing that same feeling again.

Just when I was sick and lonely,
I was feeling ill and isolated, longing for a sense of human connection.

There was a shaking on the ground
An earthquake or unexpected tremor occurred, rattling the foundation of the city and our sense of safety.

We were hiding from the rain
Taking cover from the ongoing rainfall to stay dry and comfortable.

We were riding on the train.
Despite the elements, we continued to travel throughout the city via the subway system.

Another encounter with the same girl, where she was dancing with me and kissing my face.
