I played New World for over 800 hours. I was mostly solo. The only negative thing about being a solo player in this game is I like to Flag for PVP after leaving the town and I usually would always run into a group of 5 pvpers while questing.

My first 1.5k hours was as a pve nerd. Then i got into the pvp and was absolutely hooked for another 1.5k hours. The real endgame is pvp. The pve is surface level content

Yes I recommend for solo play, also veterans returning I recommend starting a new as cutlass keys as changed so much and elysian wilds are all so different.

Two things:
1. Some areas are way too dark. It would be great if they added a light source, like a lantern or torch, to help navigate better.
2. While the solo content is fun, it would be even better if the dungeons scaled to accommodate two or three players. Playing with a friend would make the experience much more enjoyable!

I played 4k hours and i think i played solo 3,5k hours 😅

I played with group only for dungeons or when we farm World boss. But for open world, quest, farming...ect all Solo 👍

Day 1 Beta player here with honest feedback... I played since Beta been through it all, the Story is great I mean great that's a plus, the Graphics are good I like them. However the Dev team could be the worse team in history meaning the people making the decisions, clearly the people doing the real work making the game are good. The game HAD the ability to give WOW a run, but their decision to the game has taken it for the worse not better. There was TONS I mean TONS of great feedback on what to do what to add etc.. They haven't done 1 thing any player has suggested. When you give negative feedback the feedback disappears or the close the feedback down and make a new one. The game at one point was logging a Million people a day, its down to less then 5 thousand a day, so call me crazy but that doesn't sound like a team that knows how to keep its players and how to truly run a game. The promised a new PVP map over a year ago still nothing... same map for 4 years now. So do what you want but I wouldn't spend 1 dime with them.

Whether you're solo or grouped, there's still no end game or longevity. It's better if you waste your time, money and energy on a game that will still be around in a year. R.I.P. Timer.
