JUNSU / JEJUNG / YUCHUN is a unit created in 2010 by Tohoshinki members JEJUNG, YUCHUN and JUNSU under Rhythm Zone sub-label.

After Tohoshinki/Dong Bang Shin Ki's activities went in an indefinite hiatus, on April 14, 2010, Bigeast (Tohoshinki's official fanclub) announced the creation of a new unit with the three members. According the announcement, they signed a new contract with avex which allows them to start their activities as new group.

The first move of the group/unit was a special dome concert tour in June. The tour would have four dates, two concerts at the Osaka Dome, and two more at the Tokyo Dome. On May 19, an avex representative stated the group would be holding the concert as "JYJ", but neither that or the previous "JUNSU / JEJUNG / YUCHUN" were official yet. On May 28, the official website of the group announced their participation in avex "a-nation 2010".

That's why Kanye's verse sounds a little off in the mix - cuz its a reference and not one intended for a final release - JYJ decided to keep it and Kanye gave them permission I guess.

I think many people don't know the way JYJ made this album, well after departing from SM 2010, JYJ was obviously unable to promote in Korea because of their lawsuit, they planned to promote in Japan while waiting for court to allow them promote in Korea. they greatly started their promotions in Japan held Tokyo Dome and concert in Osaka, in september 2010 they released their 1st Japanese album as trio "The.." that topped Oricon weekly charts with a total of 240K copy sold, but only ONE week after their Japanese album release, their Japanese company suspended their activities in Japan(ofc because of SM), so JYJ found themselves blocked in both Japan and Korea. they had no choice but to go to US to start and they had only one month to do, in October 2010 JYJ released their 1st album "the beginning". MV idea and quality is really not the JYJ level. but the full album come out well, giving both Jaejoong and Junsu can not speak english but they made an english album in middle of all the hardships they were going through, in a short period of time which is ONE month. No matter what people say I'll always be proud of this step JYJ made.

this song is very incredible. One of the best of kpop. Incredible that they got a stake with Kanye West even with all the boycotts of SM and Avex. They were awesome. People can barely speak the video, but everything else is very good. The music and the dance are wonderful for a band that was doing things while a bigger and more influential company tried to pull it back

I think this song is very catchy. They also did the right thing by adding a very popular American artist in the song. I think what they really need to do is study a few of the most popular American artist music videos and see the complete difference from Korea to U.S. From there they'll be able to see what Americans really want to see. Honestly I feel like if this was played on an American radio station, it would be a huge hit but the video wouldn't be.

This song introduced me to DBSK/TVXQ and I still think it's amazing. It has a very epic feeling to itself, along with amazing vocals and an extremly catchy yet beautiful melody. The only part I don't like is the "I'm still in love with you, I can't get over you". However to my point, I don't see where all the hate comes from, it's not JYJ's best that's for sure, but it's still amazing!

I cannot agree more that they could have done it better. But I feel that at the time, they did their best. They had a message to tell, not just Korea, but to the entire world. As a long fan of JYJ, I know that their best quality, above all their singing and acting skills, is in their honesty. They don't fake. They don't lie. (Regarding the English) I personally am impressed by it. English is such a confusing language when it comes to grammar and words sounding the same but meaning different things(here/hear there/their/they're). I'm always super, super impressed when a non English speaking person can speak even the slightest bit of English because yea. It's hard as hell. Just my thoughts on that haha. But yes! of course we don't want them to be americanized because we all love kpop for the fact that its different. but it was their choice to promote in America, and in order to do that they have to conform to the American style. the song itself was actually pretty good, the problem lied in the MV and their style throughout the video. and although I'm fine with the way things are now, i want JYJ to reach their highest possible potential. and if that means breaking into the American market then so be it.

honestly if all the fans of dbsk;jyj;or just kpop in general they might have actually made it some where maybe not that far but they would have been acknowledged enough to be on tv programs or movies and that would have helped them even better because ppl would have known them from being in a curtain movie/show and THAT would have helped there music career in the states.and feel bad cause i didnt realize the potential this song had till yrs later. =(

Yeah I think your right on who their targeted audience is, I just felt that their outfits while they look like it's for men, the way the designers cut the fabric just gave it a feminine vibe. I didn't really see their facial features as feminine cuz I got used to their facial structures lol! actually, JYJ did pretty well.. they have a lot of fans in South America and Europe.. well, as for American music public, I think it's kind of hard to penetrate, but days ago, I overheard some American teenagers at my city talking about JYJ's songs.. so, I guess they must've been doing something right! :)

It's so weird going to back to this after almost 6 years... This was such an uncertain time haha... I had just gotten into TVXQ summer of '09 when they were in the midst of the lawsuit, then a few Japanese releases in '10, then this JYJ English album in the fall of the same year, then TVXQ "comeback" in January 2011 with just HoMin, which really cemented the fact that the split had really happened :(

People are cracking the video and while it is kinda cheesy, my 14 year old self was losing my mind over hearing Jaejoong sing in English lol. The album itself wasn't bad at all. I think the rap parts made this particular song kinda cringeworthy at the beginning lol.
