She said I love you and I need you
Yeah love, I believe you
But I gotta love you and leave you
Smile of an angel
Don't let that deceive you
'Cause sometimes I'm evil
I just, I just
(Start start start) Clartin it off, clartin it off (oh my God)
My friend wann' bang, my friend wann' bang, so I start passin' it off
Woo, wait, yo, rah, that's enough
Pass it back, pass it back, lemme start clartin it off
Driver take a right turn
My turn, my turn
Babyface with no sideburns
Bruv grown man, get dumped on
Pull my top where my face is
Come through topless and faceless (surprise)
Tour your block like I'm famous
With that superstar status
And then clartin it off, clartin it off (oh my God)
My friend wann' bang, my friend wann' bang, so I start passin' it off
Wait yo, rah that's enough
Pass it back, pass it back, lemme start clartin it off
Won't call it an early day
On your side where the Turner stay (alright)
Other side of your mother's ride
What you can't drive you gotta learn today
On a one way to an early grave
Recline my seat back anyway (relax)
Forgot to plan my getaway
Put your foot on the gas like andale andale
What? Is that what you're doing now?
Whole ting get ruined now (what?)
I don't even know half my opps
Why I'm permanently screwing now (who is he?)
Is he a pagan? Not certain
No time for any conversing
Nearly clarted up the wrong person
Had to try and test if my stuff's working
And start clartin it off, clartin it off (oh my God)
My friend wann' bang, my friend wann' bang, so I start passin' it off
Woo, wait, yo, rah, that's enough
Pass it back, pass it back, lemme start clartin it off
Clartin it off, clartin it off (oh my God)
My friend wann' bang, my friend wann' bang, so I start passin' it off
Woo, wait, yo, rah, that's enough
Pass it back, pass it back, lemme start clartin it off
And start clartin it off, clartin it off (bombaclat)
My friend wann' bang, my friend wann' bang, so I start passin' it off
Woo, wait, yo, rah, that's enough
Pass it back, pass it back, lemme start clartin it off
The song “Clartin” by J Hus is about the fast-paced lifestyle and pressures that come with being a famous musician. The lyrics reflect the temptation to indulge in drugs and partying while trying to cope with the challenges that come with the music industry. The first verse starts with the singer talking about love and leaving. According to him, sometimes he can be evil notwithstanding his angelic smile.
The first chorus, “Clartin it off,” is an expression used in the UK slang that means “to do something confidently and with style.” The second verse, on the other hand, J Hus talks about his life as a musician who has made it big. He talks about cruising around in topless cars with his face covered, tour the block, and feeling famous. The phrase “My friend wann' bang” is slang for asking for the drug.
In the third verse, J Hus dives into the challenges of his lifestyle as a musician, including the fear of his “opp” (opposition, often someone you are beefing or fighting with) and remaining cautious. The last chorus is more energetic and filled with passion than the previous ones, with J Hus rapping about clartin it off, passing the drugs around with his friends in a confident manner, and having fun.
