While known best for his commercial dance hits like "Titanium" with Sia, "2U" with Justin Bieber and much more, the French star's start in music belongs to a more underground sound. In an interview with Pete Tong, Guetta says the album represents a "full cycle," which is why he wanted to go full circle and go back to his house roots.
"I originally started in underground house music, playing all the raves and underground clubs in Paris," he says. "I wanted to make music just for fun, with absolutely no commercial approach to it. I want to make every type of music that I like, I’m doing it for the love of music."

The lyrics of "Superstar DJ" by Jack Back pay homage to the people who make music come alive - the DJs. The repetitive chant-like lyrics of "Hey girls, B-boys, Superstar DJs, here we go" create an energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere, almost as if the audience is getting pumped up for a performance by the DJs. The use of the terms "girls" and "B-boys" could be a reference to the early roots of DJ culture, where the audience was primarily made up of breakdancers and women who understood and appreciated the art of scratching beats. The lyrics serve to highlight the important role of DJs in the world of music, particularly in electronic dance music (EDM) where the DJ is often the main attraction.
The song's powerful beat and energetic lyrics are a testament to the infectious energy of electronic dance music. It's a reflection of the euphoria and excitement that often permeates a nightclub or festival when the DJ plays the right track. The lyrics serve as an invitation and rallying cry for listeners to come together and celebrate the art of DJing. Overall, "Superstar DJ" is an ode to the power of music and its ability to bring people together.
