V rokoch od rozpadu skupiny Cream v roku 1968 vydal Bruce množstvo sólových albumov, väčšinou v experimentálnejšom duchu, a spolupracoval so širokou škálou hudobníkov v mnohých žánroch. Na zozname sú Robin Trower , Tony Williams , John McLaughlin , Carla Bley , Allan Holdsworth , Ringo Starr a Frank Zappa . Bol tiež členom kapely West, Bruce and Laing .
V roku 1994 vydal album pod názvom kapely BBM (Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker a Gary Moore) s názvom Around the Next Dream.

We're Going Wrong
Jack Bruce Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Try to realize.
I found out today we're going wrong,
We're going wrong.
Please open your mind.
See what you can find.
I found out today we're going wrong,
We're going wrong.
We're going wrong.
We're going wrong.
"We're Going Wrong" is a song by the late Scottish musician, Jack Bruce, which expresses the angst that Bruce was experiencing with his band members. The lyrics, "Please open your eyes/Try to realize," implore the listener to pay attention and become cognizant of the situation that's unraveling around them. The singer has come to the realization that something isn't quite right, and the more they investigate, the more they realize that the group is going down the wrong path.
The lines, "Please open your mind/See what you can find," suggest that the solution lies in being open-minded and searching for the underlying cause, shifting the focus from individuals to the collective or shared situation. The repetition of the line, "We're going wrong," emphasizes the importance of this realization as the singer tries to make sense of the situation and find a solution.
Overall, the song conveys the message that unless there is a change in perspective and a collective effort made to address the problem, the group is destined to fail.

What a kick...
We get to hear the Soul of Cream do a Cream tune in front of a really great big band, most of the members of which were unborn at the time "Disraeli Gears" was released (c. 1968).
I'm so glad that we actually get to SEE Jack's vocal technique here:
Bel Canto is a very specific vocal discipline, involving techniques that demand years of practice to master, and I see (as I always suspected) that he's had them under his belt for a very long time...
...going all the way back to Cream, in fact.
All props to the young man playing guitar who, I assume, knows the size of the shoes he's filling; all props to Herr Keller, the arranger of this gem, who is also the enormously talented conductor.
