Imagine
Jack Johnson Lyrics

It's easy if you try
No hell below us
And above us is only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
You may say that I'm a dreamer
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
No religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life for peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
The lyrics of Jack Johnson's "Imagine" are a powerful reflection on the human desire for peace and unity. The song begins with the singer imagining a world without the concept of Heaven or Hell, where the only thing above us is the sky. He suggests that if we could live for today and focus on the present moment, we could achieve a sense of peace that is otherwise unattainable. The singer recognizes that this idea may seem idealistic or unrealistic, but he also acknowledges that he's not the only one dreaming of a better world, and he hopes others will join him in working towards this shared goal.
The second verse builds on this idea of unity by proposing a world without borders or divisions based on religion or politics. The singer suggests that if we could let go of the things that separate us, we could eliminate the need for violence and instead work towards a common goal of peace. Once again, the singer acknowledges that this idea may seem far-fetched, but he maintains that he's not the only person who envisions such a world, and he invites others to join him in this dream.
The final verse takes this idea of unity even further by suggesting a world without possessions or wealth disparity. Instead, every person would share in the world's resources, creating a brotherhood of man that would eliminate greed and hunger. Once again, the singer acknowledges that this concept may seem impossible, but he insists that he's not alone in dreaming of a world where everyone is equal and nobody goes without.
Overall, Jack Johnson's "Imagine" is a moving expression of the human desire for peace, unity, and equality. Through his lyrics, he encourages listeners to envision a better world and to work towards bringing that vision to life.

you know this is a cover?
yeeeet
This what I keep trying to tell people who would assume that an artist would be displeased with a cover. It's not all about quality, it's about the respect and paying homage to an artist.

I love the lyrics to this song. I've always believed in the message of the song, before I ever heard it, but I couldn't put it into words. That's what I love about music, if you can't say the word yourself you can always say it through a song.
