The Sharing Song
Jack Johnson Lyrics

To share with everyone
It's always more fun
To share with everyone
If you have two, give one to your friend
If you have three, give one to your friend and me
It's always more fun
To share with everyone
To share with everyone
If you have one, here is something you can learn
You can still share, just by taking turns
If you got a ball, bounce it to the gang
If there is a new kid, invite him out to hang
If you got one sandwich
Cut that thing in half
You if you know a secret joke, tell it and share a laugh
If you got one drumstick
Give one to your friend
Make one beautiful rhythm
Share a beat that never ends
And if your feeling lonely, share time with your mom
Share some milk and cookies and sing the sharing song
Everybody now
It's always more fun
To share with everyone
It's always more fun
To share with everyone
It's always more fun
To share with everyone
It's always more fun
To share with everyone
The Sharing Song by Jack Johnson has a simple yet powerful message: sharing is an act of kindness that brings joy and builds relationships. The lyrics encourage listeners to share with others, whether it's material possessions like food and toys, or intangible things such as jokes and time. According to the song, sharing is always more fun when we do it with everyone, not just with a select few.
The first verse of the song establishes the theme of sharing, emphasizing that it's more fun when everyone participates. The second and third verses provide specific examples of how to share, such as giving away one's possessions, inviting new people to join, and taking turns. Johnson uses imagery that evokes harmony and unity, such as bouncing a ball to the gang, sharing a laugh, and creating a beautiful rhythm together. The final verse highlights the importance of sharing time with loved ones, particularly one's mother.
Overall, The Sharing Song promotes a sense of community and generosity, reminding us that we all have something to give, regardless of how much we have.
