Jack White first played as a professional musician in the early 1990s, as a drummer for the Detroit cowpunk band Goober & the Peas. White produced Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose in 2004, which won them a Grammy for best country album, and an additional Grammy for best country collaboration for the song Portland Oregon.
The Love Interruption Songfacts reports that his debut solo single, Love Interruption, was made available on January 30, 2012 at White's pay-to-join club Vault and at Jackwhiteiii.com. A week later, it was released on the singer’s preferred format, vinyl. It was produced by the ex White Stripe and recorded at his own Third Man Studio in Nashville along with its exclusive non-LP B-side Machine Gun Silhouette. This was followed by his first solo album, Blunderbuss, later in 2012, and an accompanying tour. This is not said to indicate an end to either the Raconteurs or the Dead Weather.
His blaring guitar solos and ability to pull sound from the simplest of "instruments" are his greatest strengths along with his desire to partner with female vocalists.
He currently resides in Tennessee. He announced his divorce in 2011 from wife since 2005, fellow musician Karen Elson, and they have two children. Third Man Records (White's label) and Elson's clothing boutique are also located there.

Another Way To Die
Jack White Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
With the slick
Trigger finger
For her majesty
Another one
With the
Golden tone voice
And then your fantasy
From a killer
Turned a thrill
Into a tragedy
Yeah, a door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in the eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Someone that you think
That you can trust is just
Another way to die
Another tricky little gun
Giving solace to the one
That will never see
The sunshine
Another inch of your life
Sacrificed
For your brother
In the nick of time
Another dirty money
Heaven sent honey
Turning on a dime
Well, a door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in the eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Someone that you think
That you can trust is just
Another way to die
Hey
Wo-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Another girl
With her finger
On the world singing
Do what you want here
Another gun thrown down
And surrendered
Took away your fear
Hey
Another man
That stands right
Behind you
Looking in the mirror
A door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in the eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Someone that you think
That you can trust is just
Another way to die
It's just another way
It's just another way
Baby, baby
The lyrics of Jack White's Another Way To Die describe the idea that even the people we trust the most can ultimately hurt and betray us. The opening lines introduce two characters: "the player with the slick trigger finger" and "another one with the golden tone voice," who may be involved in some kind of dangerous activity on behalf of "her majesty." The singer warns that there is always another bill from a killer that can turn a thrill into a tragedy.
The chorus then repeats the idea that danger can come from unexpected places, highlighting several mundane objects that become ominous in the context of the song: "a door left open," "a phone on the table," and "someone that you think that you can trust" can all be "another way to die." Even something as casual as "a look in the eye" can suggest that betrayal is imminent.
The second stanza reinforces these themes with additional examples of people and objects that can lead to harm. Another "tricky little gun" can offer a false sense of protection, while dirty money and "heaven-sent honey" can lure someone into a trap. The final stanza introduces two more characters, a girl with her finger on the world and another man standing behind the singer in the mirror, suggesting that no matter where you turn, danger may be lurking.
Overall, the lyrics of Another Way to Die offer a cautionary tale about the risks of trusting others and the unexpected ways that harm can come into our lives.

I fricking love this song, by itself and as a Bond theme. Can't believe all the hate for this from unadventurous people who just want the exact same thing every time - it's classic yet modern and Alicia Keys and Jack White together is such a raw, dirty sound which I love. I hope they read these comments because they did not get the credit they deserved for this brilliant piece at all.
@seankissinger5779
Times change. They gotta stay current. I think they did a great job making a modern song that still has that Bond theme vibe to it.
@laurab7302
Totally agree
@tomfitzpatrick7335
Indeed
@alekesam
I feel like the hate for the movie pulled the song into that. Because nuance is a lost art so "everything" about QoS has to be shit. It can't be,"The movie had problems but it had a great theme." No, it's,"The movie sucked and so did the theme song!"
I myself love the theme song and warts and all, Quantum of Solace, when paired with Casino Royale, is a worthy Bond movie.
@BenRipleyPhoto
Amen.
@alim.9801
Such an unexpected combo and yet they KILLED IT!!! I think the people who hate this song just must not vibe with Jack's usual raw sound. He's such a musical Renaissance man tho. And Alicia is so underrated these days, she has mad pipes and talent with the keys. Couple of my favorite artists of all time 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@bulletsbronze
When me and my friend heard these two were doing the bond theme we (both total audiophiles) couldn't wait to hear it. What a GREAT song.
@user69987
Pablo Escobar also has made talent with keys
@kalindatchev994
This masterpiece of a song is unfortunately attached to what is easily the worst Bond movie ever featuring the least scary villain of all time. I always suspected that it was a rejected Scooby-Doo script that got made into a Bond movie. What a shame, this song deserves so much better
