His habit of wearing a kilt to perform made him a distinctive figure in the world of early British pop music.

Well, I know what you mean but I can make out a lot of English so my guess is that the difficulty is because of the broad Scottish accent.
"I'm glad, so glad, so-oh gladdd
You are here-ere-errre (here)
I'm so lucky to be...
And no one else but me
It's true
'Cos me
Got you
La-dee-dah
Oh boy
Cha-cha-cha
I feel so fi-ah-ah-ine (fine)
Now that you are mi-ah-ah-ine (mine)
Now I ti-in-ingle
Up and down my spine
It's true
'Cos me
Got you
La-dee-dah
Oh boy
Cha-cha-cha
You're my special angel,
My be-bop baby
My little bitty pretty beh-abe (babe)
You...(something - could it be 'tempt') me with
Your (something) loving?
Kiss divine(?)
I just want baby
To be...
My silhouette? [Er...what?]
Tonight, tonigh-ah-ah-ight
We're gonna go-oh-oh-ohhh
To the ABC
To learn the x, y, zee
Of love
It's true
'Cos me
Got you
La-dee-dah
Oh boy
Cha-cha-cha
La-dee-dah
Oh boy
Let's go
Cha-cha-cha!"
You're my special angel,
My be-bop baby
My little bitty pretty beh-abe (babe)
You...(something) me with
Your (something) loving?
Kiss goodnight(?)
I just want a baby
To be...
My silhouette?
Tonight, tonigh-ah-ah-ight
We're gonna go-oh-oh-ohhh
To the ABC
And through the x, y, zee
Of love
It's true
'Cos me
Got you,
La-dee-dah
Oh boy
Cha-cha-cha
La-dee-dah
Oh boy
Let's go
Cha-cha-cha
La-dee=da!
Oh boy!
[On the single this last bit was sung round and round and faded out.]

No doubt Elvis got a few moves from Jackie's action. Funny that I had never heard of Jackie Dennis until reading that he died age 77. Fun times back in Scotland.
@juliaread9115
Love it 😆
@Mudge07
Somehow I feel a young Jim Moir had this played in his household and inspired the Vic Reeves take on it’s style in “Shooting Stars”. A crisp, perky performance that says those troos were maybe a size too small or the playback tempo was a lil rushed. Sadly missed, I’m sure the footage here is a treasure to family and fans alike.

Jackie Dennis (8 October 1942 – 28 September 2020) was a Scottish singer.
@keithharvey7230
This got in the charts in uk.
@Lwyse96
And it reached Number 4, not bad for a 15 year old. 👍
@vilentman111
My grandad played this. Hated it at first. It's actually alright. Best version of the song
@KeldorDAntrell
@@vilentman111 I've got the 45 and I think it's much better than this which sounds 'tinny'.
@janethemingway2034
So funny but love it
@fifthof1795
This is so excruciatingly bad that it's brilliant.
