These lyrics depict a romantic scene in which two people are spending time together outdoors, amidst apple trees. The singer seems to be observing the other person, wondering about their actions and thinking about his feelings towards them. He approaches them and they have a conversation that is partly spoken and partly unspoken. When the other person asks him if there's something wrong, he says no, but his thoughts suggest that he has feelings for them. The singer then imagines lying down with the other person underneath the trees while the wind blows.

I think the pegasus is in a learning path for love. After feeling the sweetness of love with Lyra and Bonbon, with Derpy he learns how to be affectionate, and he comforts Gilda when she's sad and lonely. After passing all those tests, he finally stumbles upon his one true love: Big Mac. So it's kind of an initiation path to love. But that's how I interpret it, so I'd love it if JackleApp said more about the story :D

I just wanted to say that this song is really nostalgic to me now. I remember being kinda into MLP because of the music, and this is the only song I come back to, because the song is so sweet. The vocals really reflect that gentility, and I hope the people involved, if they're still kicking, are well.
