Jackson and His Computer Band is an IDM artist signed to Warp Records consisting of Jackson Fourgeaud, a 26-year-old Parisian composer. His style has been described as "a style orgy, a psychedelic celebration of conflict."
After his acid house debut on Pumpking records in 1996, Sound Of Barclay released the "Sense Juice" and "Gourmet EPs" under the name Jackson & His Computer Band. Even then, these thumping filtered house cuts sounded weirdly different to the prevailing "French Touch" style of Daft Punk and Cassius, leading to articles in NME, I-D, Jockey Slut and the like. On the back of this acclaim, Jackson was commissioned to remix an array of artists, sprinkling his fucked-up magic over Femi Kuti, Air, Vanessa Paradis, Freeform Five and Jean Jacques Perrey and Luke Vibert's forthcoming "Moog Acid". No one has yet remixed Jackson. This year he's DJed at parties in London (everywhere from The Social to Harrod's) and recently terrorised the idyllic Territoires Electroniques festival in Aix-en-Provence. Perhaps you caught his excellent DJ set on Radio 1's Breezeblock show in March. Now Jackson is working on a killer live show which will be unveiled around the time of Smash's release in September.

Jackson is the name of a little band out of San Antonio, Texas. Chad W. Eaton (Electric Guitar, Vocals), Cameron Feil (Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Vocals), Daniel Palmer (Bass Guitar), Andrew Vespia (Electric Guitar), Robert Betts (Drums), Mills Ligon (Manager) and a variety of visiting musicians fill the Jackson lineup.
They describe their sound as "A little bit country, a little bit Rock and Roll."

Jackson O'Connell-Barlow (stage names: Iguanadon, Grape-a-Don, Nate Kukla, and Mr. Pennsylvania) makes up one half of the duo Grand Buffet along with Jarrod Weeks (stage names: M-Dog, Lord Grunge, Matt Kukla, Fred Durts). A hip-hop duo from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their music is a unique brand of humorous, often satirical rap.

There's another band called Jackson. Their 6 song self-titled debut release came out in spring of 2003. It's somewhat of an all-star punk-and-rock outfit comprised of CHRIS SHIFLETT (FOO FIGHTERS, ME FIRST & THE GIMME GIMMES, NO USE FOR A NAME), SCOTT SHIFLETT (FACE TO FACE), and PETE PARRADA (FACE TO FACE, SAVES THE DAY). They also released a 7" record called All the Way in late 2003. The band isn't full-time as some members are obligated to other bands. Their sound has been described as Weezer meets Teen Idols. Jackson have since changed their name to Jackson United

We're queer
We're coming for your children
We're here
We're queer
We're coming for your children
So tell me what is going onSo tell me what is going on
So tell me what is going on
No divinity, no bible
No divinity, only false idols
Screen time, sitting idle
We're death scrolling, no meaning, we're suicidal (Woah)
Sam Smith, red vinyl
Lil Nas' recital
A pride flag for survival
Else you a bigot, degenerate into tribal
Rainbow this and rainbow that
I dont know if I'm for that
Cos I cant say I understand
If T's for tyrant or for trans
Ordinary people afraid of what's to come
And so they sit back, clap, hold their tongues
And they wanna say what they really think
Cos they ain't cool with public displays of private kinks
Private kink? (Yeah)
You got your dick out (What the fuck)
What the fuck are you doing around the kids now? (You're a bigot)
What you doing go telling how to think now? (I'm oppressed)
What you doing go telling them all these fibs now? (Woah)
Now that's a no from me
I know you sick and tired of saying shit you don't believeI know you sick and tired of trynna trynna keep the peace
With all these LGBT woke police
Tell me what is going on
Tell me what is going on
So tell me what is going on (Devil)
No divinity, no bible
No divinity, only false idols
Screen time, sitting idle
We're death scrolling, no meaning, we're suicidal

In Jackson's song "Divinity," the opening lyrics assert a bold and confrontational stance by proclaiming "We're here, we're queer, we're coming for your children." This line immediately sets a provocative tone, challenging conventional notions of sexuality and identity. By repeating this assertion, the song emphasizes a sense of empowerment and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community, signaling a reclaiming of space and a refusal to be silenced or marginalized.
The subsequent verses delve into a critique of societal norms and the idea of divinity, questioning the influence of organized religion and the worship of false idols. The mention of "screen time, sitting idle" and "death scrolling" alludes to the negative impact of technology and social media on human connection and mental health, suggesting a sense of emptiness and nihilism in today's digital age.
References to artists like Sam Smith and Lil Nas highlight the visibility and impact of LGBTQ+ figures in mainstream culture, with a "pride flag for survival" symbolizing resilience in the face of discrimination and prejudice. The lyrics also address the discomfort and resistance faced by those who challenge traditional notions of gender and sexuality, with lines like "You're a bigot, degenerate into tribal" echoing the divisive and polarizing nature of such conversations.
Overall, "Divinity" can be interpreted as a call for introspection and critical thinking about societal norms, religious dogma, and the changing landscape of identity politics. By questioning authority and advocating for self-expression and acceptance, the song challenges listeners to confront their prejudices and biases, ultimately urging a more inclusive and empathetic approach to understanding diverse experiences and perspectives in today's complex world.
