My favorite song from the Fast Times At Ridgemont High Soundtrack! It really nails that heartbreaking feeling of having a crush on a gal. Especially when your young. It is so painful! I've lived this song. I had those hesitations but I conquered the fear of rejection. I took those walks several times when I was between 15 -25 yr. old and within days those 10+ girls were in my arms. Don't ever doubt yourself, don't be your worse enemy, be your best friend.

Ending October 2015, getting out of my 7th period class and I always see this one girl in the hallway and everytime class dismissed us I would turn the corner and she would sometimes shoot a smile and I would shoot one back and we would see each other later when we both would look for each others bus. One day she isn't there in the hallway and I catch up with the friend she would always wait for and I asked about her and she said she had moved to another state and I kid you not this played on the bus on the whole ride home. Just a couple of days ago i learned her name and her friend told me she had a thing for me after all these years

What happened to the evolution of great music? We have to blast back to the past to even enjoy it! I guess the next generation of kids quit learning guitar and drums in exchange for computer music and the evolution of Rock-n-Roll was halted in its tracks. It’s a shame because none of todays music will even be remembered 20 to 30yrs from now. It’s all Pop, here today, gone tomorrow wont be missed! Not only that, but todays generation doesn’t put as much emphasis on music in general as past generations. All I listen to is the 70’s mainly. Great music is timeless and Jackson Browne is in my all time top 5!

I have been familiar with this song since I was a kid back in the 1990s, but at that point, I never really took interest in it; I only tolerated it and relaxed to its sound. I absolutely took it for granted, and never really gave it a second thought. But eventually, in August 2022 (4 decades after Fast Times at Ridgemont High's original theatrical release in August of 1982), I finally, Finally, FINALLY realized how valuable of a song "Somebody's Baby" really is when I learned that it originated from Fast Times at Ridgemont High! I finally saw the movie in September 2022. Great movie!
