Jad Choueiri (Arabic: جاد شويرى) is a singer, songwriter and music video director from Lebanon born on 13 march 1981. After his graduation from Paris' prestigious La Sorbonne university in 2002, his video for Rida Boutros's cover version of "Ya Mustapha" won him a prize as Best Director at the Studio El Fan talent show for which he won 25000$. Since then, he has produced videos for singers including Joanna mallah, Iwan, Maria, Amr mostafa and Nicole Saba, but is mostly famous for his singing career as he has also had hit singles including "A’oulak Eih? (What Shall I Tell You?)", "Ouly Ezzay (Tell Me How)" and Banadeelak (calling you). His latest hit warrini spent several weeks at number one in many countries in the middle east. He has introduced many things to the arabic pop industry as he was the first male artist to dance during his performances or to french kiss a girl in an arabic clip. He has also put arabic rapping into the mainstream.
His first album: El Mouftah (The Key, 2005) compiled singles released between 2003 and 2005 along with new material. Cairo-based English-language magazine Egypt Today has described Choueiri as "arguably the most exciting arrival on the regional music scene in years," adding that he "has quickly established himself as a multi-talented songwriter/composer who also sings in — and directs — his own music videos." Jad has become an icon to many teenage fans despite the criticism he faced and is currently working on his first english album.

The lyrics of Jad Choueiri's song "El Mazzika" celebrate the power of music to uplift and heal. The song is all about dancing and singing and calls for the beloved to come closer. The repetition of the phrase "El mazzika tarqasni, el mazzika tanadini, el mazzika twinsi, el mazzika tdawini" emphasizes the healing and invigorating effect that music has on the singer. The lyrics also hint at the idea of unity through music with the phrase "kullena sawa" which means "we are all together".
The repeated phrase, "gonna make you dance, gonna make you change your plans, gonna make you sing, just let me do my thing" speaks to the magical effect that music can have on people. The singer is promising to evoke a physical and emotional response through his music, a response that will be positive and transformative. The song taps into the universal appeal of music as a means of escape from the stresses of life and as a way of bringing people together.

@kdchiasi
We just love his songs (all of them). He's talented!!!! He's handsome!!!! Great entertainer!!! AND he's not scared of doing different type of arabic music. We get tired of same music, but different singers. Jad changed that and hope he'll continue and come up with more songs. We enjoy watching and listening to him!!!!!!
@MoeMukhtar
Exactly this is the point, though his type of songs seems to be freaky in the first glance, but it's different and our market need something new to boom! I enjoy his songs so much even if I feel uncomfortable in the beginning.
Thank you Jado for the fabulous songs!
