(What Shall I Tell You?)", "Ouly Ezzay (Tell Me How)" and Banadeelak (calling you). His latest hit warrini spent several weeks at number one in many countries in the middle east. He has introduced many things to the arabic pop industry as he was the first male artist to dance during his performances or to french kiss a girl in an arabic clip. He has also put arabic rapping into the mainstream.
His first album: El Mouftah (The Key, 2005) compiled singles released between 2003 and 2005 along with new material. Cairo-based English-language magazine Egypt Today has described Choueiri as "arguably the most exciting arrival on the regional music scene in years," adding that he "has quickly established himself as a multi-talented songwriter/composer who also sings in — and directs — his own music videos." Jad has become an icon to many teenage fans despite the criticism he faced and is currently working on his first english album.

Jad Choueiri Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
take a look at us, were not bombers we got the guts.
Youre gonna experience, an arab touch with a modern sense.
Now is the time
I came up with the rhyme
to show you what we are not
make you listen to what we got
we got sexy girls, arab beauty that will rock your whole world
Dance with us, till the break of dawn,
roll with us come and see the fun
freak with us, sea, , and sun
Funky Arabs turn you on
Dance with us, till the break of dawn,
roll with us come and see the fun
freak with us, sea, , and sun
Funky Arabs turn you on
you gonna like the sound
exotic beats with a foreign bump
mentality and the grace
the bling-bling world double with a glamorous race so
get on the guest list
of the arabic crowd and the modern twist.
you gotta catch the sign
stand up in the line
well make you see how hot
we can be under the spot
we got sexy girls, arab beauty that will rock your whole world
loaded guys, you gotta see them when they get their highs.
Dance with us, till the break of dawn,
roll with us come and see the fun
freak with us, sea, , and sun
Funky Arabs turn you on
Dance with us, till the break of dawn,
roll with us come and see the fun
freak with us, sea, , and sun
Funky Arabs turn you on
that you mean
take the lead
shake the beat
move your feet
get in the street
on the street
pick it up now
that you mean
take the lead
shake the beat
move your feet
get in the street
on the street
Everybody on your feet from Beirut to the World.
you gets what you discovered
arabic color
fly, and cool, fur coats in the summer
Jad Choueiri's song Funky Arabs is an anthemic and empowering ode to Arab culture and identity. The lyrics call out the Western media's portrayal of Arab people as merely bombers, terrorists, and victims of war, while asserting that Arab people are not just that - they are also modern, fun-loving, and proud of their cultural heritage. The lines "take a look at us, were not bombers we got the guts" and "we'll make you see how hot we can be under the spot" challenge the stereotypes and assert the confidence and self-assurance of Arab people.
The lyrics also highlight the celebration of beauty and pleasure in Arab culture, with references to "sexy girls" and "loaded guys" who enjoy dancing and having fun on the beach. This is further emphasized in the chorus, where the singer calls on the listener to "dance with us till the break of dawn," inviting them to experience the fun and joy of Arab culture. The repeated refrain "Funky Arabs turn you on" is a playful and cheeky affirmation of Arab people's attractiveness and charm.
Overall, the song presents a bold and upbeat picture of Arab culture, emphasizing its modernity, diversity, and vitality, while challenging the negative images and stereotypes that Western media often portray.

I respect Jad for trying to show a different side to the Arabs. Let's face it, they do love to party and they do it regularly. Maybe not the older generation, but our generation does it. Everyone I know does it.
