This was the first Dreamcatcher MV I ever saw.
Now that I know all their names, after a few weeks of falling into the rabbit hole, this was my first impression of them:

Gahyeon - This girl scares me. She looks like she eats hearts for breakfast.
JiU - I bet she's not as innocent as she looks.
Handong - Beautiful voice!
Yoohyeon - Wait, is that the same girl? Can't be, she just sat down in the background... no matter, she's beautiful.
SuA - Oohh, she can move!
Dami - If I didn't already love this song, I love it now, please give me more! That voice, that grace!

My Theory :
(this doesn't revolve around the nightmare era or the movie "US" which this MV was inspired, i will focus on the symbolism on the MV from the Lyrics)

It's about someone who is obsessed on someone and forcing them to love them back, what i mean by force is literally doing anything even if it's an act of psychopathy, in the first verse (JiU and Handong) "I've been disguising myself, You don't know me well yet, People may think I'm good
But they don't know who I truly am " means they show a different facade/persona to hide the real them (symbolized by Sua's mask) which is Obsessive and a Psychopath or a yandere. for example on 0:13 and Gahyeon's line "Smile when you see me, smile at me
,It's just the two of us in this dark room. If you play with me today, I'll give you something sweeter tomorrow" indicates she kidnapped the person they're obsessed with, which is symbolized on the place where Siyeon(1:26) and Sua(1:34). and also Gahyeon's facial expression on 0:25 looks like she's indeed a psycho

On the chorus "Stars filling up my eyes . My serenade ,With an angelic face, say "I love you"
Becausе I love you" shows mandatory of saying i love you.
on the post chorus "Forever mine (Whoa-oh)

PLOT TWIST!
The circus symbolizes the mind of the obsessed person. and all the mirror symbolises their other self.
she isn't really a yandere, she has an alter meaning she has a Split personality disorder and the other alter which is the yandere is taking over her consciousness and making her do things she doesn't want to. these clips shows their yandere and their real selves: 0:08 (the yandere one is taking over the normal self),0:45 (shows the normal JiU then the yandere one),0:58, 1:52(Gahyeon lost herself). and the real them wandering around is finding a way to take over the yandere on controlling their body, which they succeed and they said on the bridge "It's okay to reject my other voice. I'll call you instead . As it is now, Would you stay by my side?"

"With a beautiful picture" and telling them to forget it before it hunts them forever coz she doesnt really want to be that kind of person

p.s this might also not be the case, it might be them stopping their desires to do messed up things on someone just because they like them

So, if "BE" is the Hanja character that means "sadness", and we consider "cause" as a noun, that would make the meaning of this song's title as "The Cause of Sadness". because has been my favourite dreamcatcher song since it was released, but today i found out it's inspired by the movie US and my mind is blown.... i've seen the movie but i never made the connection or noticed how the girls had doppelgangers in the video lol i feel pretty silly.

the line "its fine if you reject me, my other voice will call for you instead" is so creepy now, also gahyeon being jiu's mirror image that strangles her. also something not related to US is the BE in BEcause sounds like 悲 which is a chinese character meaning sadness, so the reason the girls are putting on the mask to deceive and seduce their object of attention is all because of sadness, which is super deep cos people with attachment issues from childhood may become toxic to seek attention in their adult life (kinda related to US tho since the main character did deceive her doppelgangers parents and her future husband)

anyway i thought i'd share this since its changed how i view the song and i hope anyone who also doesn't know can find this :)

A win is significant for us bc they want to feel that they're being recognized in Korea. Before the debut, they fell behind so many groups, the company didn't give up and neither them. My theory: as seen in the end of choreography all girls are standing in line with Gahyeon in the middle, they're standing opposite to their hair colors (Yoohyeon-Handong, Jiu-Dami, Sua-Siyeon) i think the girls are teared into 2 parts (normal and shadow) and Gahyeon is the only one that managed to escape this so she doesn't have a doppelganger (idk if I said it right)
Edit 1: at the beginning we can see gahyeon and Jiu reflecting each other, then suddenly Gahyeon grabs Jiu neck to probably k*** her, bc she knows that Jiu is a doppelganger, then at the hotel scene we see gahyeon smiling then it suddenly drops which can mean she's trying to blend in with doppelgangers in order to destroy them from the inside.

I feel it would be important to add that our fandom name, InSomnia means 'in dreams'.

I was confused at the start BEcause I thought that it was the same as the disorder - I figured this made sense since the members each represented a nightmare in their first series, hence us being unable to sleep.

A win from Music shows will open new doors in South Korea. It could be anything. But, it doesn't make them better artists or less it's just a trophy of accomplishment. Dreamcatcher already had so many accomplishments that don't need a trophy to prove it. However, if want to see more content from DC in Korea. Somehow they need the trophy to be invited in big awards shows, some popular shows, etc.

Everyone here talking about how much Dreamcatcher are underrated. I won't tell it's not true but hear me out. I'm a big InSomnia myself and ofc they deserve the world in my eyes, it's no longer an opinion anymore, that's a fact. They have one of the most unique concept in whole k-pop industry. Even if you don't like their concept/songs (like a human, not idiotic hater) you can't deny THEY ARE ORIGINAL. But when BEcause come out, I realized something that really make my heart warm. If you are a new InSomnia, you will probably watch all of their MVs and get absolutely sad when you will see the views. You And I is only having 4 millions, while Fly High is having 8 millions and 880 thousands. But wait wait wait- 8 880 000 views? If you don't know what I'm talking about, this is the exact number we have now (when I am writting this comment) on BEcause. InSomnias are growing bigger and bigger to the point, that we actually managed to make that much views in ONE DAY, while we were making it on Fly High for FOUR YEARS. 1 day and 4 years = we have the same number of views. I'm so happy seeing Dreamcatcher being more popular. InSomnias, we just have to wait. Keep streaming BEcause alongside with all of their MVs. You might think your one view won't change anything, but if everyone thought like that we would have NO VIEWS at all. Just stream their songs, maybe try recommend Dreamcatcher to someone you know (but just recommend, not demand that he/she/they should listen to them). That's all we can do right now, but just our LISTENING TO SONGS for fun can give them recognization they deserve.

InSomnias, do you guys remember those times when people where confused on DC's concept and didn't get enough spotlight BEcause of it? Now DC is topping the charts and achieving many things and it's truly the best thing that happened in their careers so far.
I remember Odd Eye trending between 40th and 38th place in Korea, and now BEcause is trending at the 13th place in Korea's music section now + it was played at the Olympics (extra promo omg).

For anyone who is not understanding what’s going on I’ll explain. If any of you have seen the “US” movie the video is in reference to that except in Dreamcatcher’s version their doppelgängers actually won and were able to trap the real members inside and he circus(which is why they are wearing different clothes, Jiu smiles at the end and you hear Gahyeon laughing) Remember in the movie Lupita trapped her real self in the circus when she was young and the doppelgänger was living a normal life while the real one suffered and it made her crazy. In the video Gahyeon is supposed to be Lupita except the Gahyeon at the start of the video was the doppelgänger that had been living a normal life the real Gahyeon(who is evil) is wearing the white dress she and the other doppelgängers come up with a plan to trap the other girl’s(real members and Gahyeon’s doppelgänger) and break free which they ultimately did in the end. This is just my take on it but since the video is inspired by the movie and we had to guess it who was the doppelgänger among the members in the beginning I’m guessing it’s Gahyeon unless it’s a trick and it’s SuA she’s been suspicious(with the apple scene) too but that’s what I got from the video. Also the beginning with the cage Gahyeon(doppelgänger) used to be caged and got freed along time ago when she trapped the real one in the circus.

P.S I could be wrong but that’s my take on it feel free to add any thoughts.

I know it's not the winner faults but The Shit really been doing them dirty. Even the votes were rigged at that time. Even with the 0 points from the expert, Dreamcatcher should've been the winner but their points were manipulated over 100++ points. The next week, The Shit didn't announce the winner eventhough Dreamcatcher could win at that time and the next next week Dreamcatcher won the pre voting but The Shit didn't even nominated them as the winner. Alternative theory: At the end we can see Gahyeon sitting on throne, which represent Adeline from the movie "Us", Adelines doppelganger took her place in the real world so that's why gahyeon is standing in the middle without reflection at the ending pose (reflections are based on hair color at the ending pose Yoohyeon - Handong, Jiu - Dami, Siyeon - Sua)
