There ain't nobody home today
But I'm gonna be ok
Sometimes it's really hard when I'm trying to explain
What's going on in my heart
What's running through my vains
And I never ever wanted to wake up in this weather - whether
Or not it was clever to sever our relationship
But their's nothing there to hold on to
Was it me or was it you that just wouldn't budge how can you
Explain to me cause I don't think I understand and it's overdue
Tell me what you want cause I just don't get what to do
Chorus:
Won't you tell me what you want
Tell me what you need
Tell me what to say
And put it in a timemachine
And it's never what we want
It's never what it seems
We live in an illusion
Until we face reality
Can't you tell me what to do
Tell me where to go
Tell me what to think
'cause I just don't know
I know things never stay the same
We are bound to change
Now I'm living in the past
And I wanna go back again
Verse 2:
And if I could go back in time
And if I could give it just one more try
I would save you the tears
I would save you all the crying
Cause girl it seems you were never meant to be mine
I tried to reach out for your hand
But their's nothing there to hold on to
Was it me or was it you that just wouldn't budge how can you
Explain to me cause I don't think I understand and it's overdue
Tell me what you want cause I just don't get what to do
Chorus:
Won't you tell me what you want
Tell me what you need
Tell me what to say
And put it in a timemachine
And it's never what we want
It's never what it seems
We live in an illusion
Until we face reality
Can't you tell me what to do
Tell me where to go
Tell me what to think
'cause I just don't know
I know things never stay the same
We are bound to change
Now I'm living in the past
And I wanna go back again
Outro:
Send it on a piece of paper
Don't you leave the change for later...
The song Time Machine by Jamaram is about trying to understand and make sense of past relationships. The singer is struggling to come to terms with the end of a relationship and is searching for answers as to why it didn't work out. They are feeling lost and directionless, seeking guidance and clarity from their former partner. The chorus begs for insight and understanding, asking their former partner to tell them what they want, what they need, and what to say, and to put it in a time machine, suggesting that the singer wishes they could go back in time and fix things. The singer recognizes that things never stay the same, and that change is inevitable, but they are caught up in their memories and nostalgia for the past. The outro suggests a desire for communication and closure, asking their former partner to send their thoughts on a piece of paper and not to delay the opportunity for change.
Overall, the song Time Machine is about the universal human experience of trying to come to terms with past relationships, and the desire to understand and find closure. It touches on themes of change, acceptance, and the difficulty of communication.

Sometimes it is difficult to explain
What's going on in my heart
What is happening to me emotionally
What's running through my vains
What I am feeling inside
And I never ever wanted to wake up in this weather - whether
I did not want to wake up in these circumstances
Or not it was clever to sever our relationship
I am not sure if it was wise to end our relationship
I tried to reach out for your hand
I attempted to make amends
But their's nothing there to hold on to
But there was no effort made from the other side
Was it me or was it you that just wouldn't budge how can you
Who was responsible for the failed relationship and why do you behave this way?
Explain to me cause I don't think I understand and it's overdue
Please tell me the reason as I am overdue to know
Tell me what you want cause I just don't get what to do
Tell me what you want from me because I am confused
Won't you tell me what you want
Please tell me what you desire
Tell me what you need
Inform me what you require
Tell me what to say
Guide me on what I should express
And put it in a timemachine
Record and preserve it so we could go back in time and access it later
And it's never what we want
Our expectations and reality are always different
It's never what it seems
What appears to be true, may not be the case
We live in an illusion
We exist in misleading circumstances
Until we face reality
Until we accept the truth
Can't you tell me what to do
Can you not give me direction?
Tell me where to go
Guide me on where I should head
Tell me what to think
Advise me on what to perceive
'cause I just don't know
Because I am unsure
I know things never stay the same
I am aware that nothing stays forever
We are bound to change
We are fated to transform
Now I'm living in the past
Currently, I am dwelling in the past
And I wanna go back again
And I want to revisit that time
And if I could go back in time
If time travel were possible
And if I could give it just one more try
And I could give it one more attempt
I would save you the tears
I would save you the pain and heartache
I would save you all the crying
I would prevent you from shedding tears
Cause girl it seems you were never meant to be mine
Because it seems that we were not meant to be together
Send it on a piece of paper
Write it down on a piece of paper
Don't you leave the change for later
Do not postpone change, take action now
