No One Is Alone
James Corden Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Now you're on your own
Only me beside you
Still, you're not alone
No one is alone
Truly
No one is alone
I know
Mother isn't here now
Wrong things, right things
Who knows what she'd say?
Who can say what's true?
Nothing's quite so clear now
Do things, fight things
Feel you've lost your way?
You decide, but
You are not alone
Believe me
No one is alone (No one is alone)
Believe me
Truly
People make mistakes
Fathers
Mothers
People make mistakes
Holding to their own
Thinking they're alone
Honor their mistakes
Fight for their mistakes
Everybody makes
One another's terrible mistakes
Witches can be right, giants can be good
You decide what's right, you decide what's good
Just remember
Just remember
Someone is on your side (Our side)
Our side
Someone else is not
While we're seeing our side (Our side)
Our side
Maybe we forgot, they are not alone
No one is alone
Someone is on your side
No one is alone
The song No One Is Alone by James Corden conveys a deep sense of comfort and hope amidst loneliness and confusion. The first verse discusses the feeling of being alone, but also acknowledges that someone is always there beside us even if it doesn't feel like it. The second verse addresses the idea of not having our mother to guide us anymore and the uncertainty of what she would say, but then reminds us that we are not alone in making decisions. The chorus emphasizes that no one is truly alone, and we are encouraged to believe this and hold onto it even when times are tough.
The third verse switches focus to the idea that people make mistakes, including fathers and mothers, and we should honor and fight for their mistakes. The following lines go on to explain that witches could be right and giants could be good, but ultimately, we decide what is right and good. The final repetition of the chorus emphasizes that someone is always on our side, even if we forget sometimes, and reminds us that no one is truly alone.
Overall, the song is a beautiful reminder that we are all connected and that we are never truly alone. Even when we feel like we are lost, someone is always there to guide us and support us. The lyrics also encourage us to fight for our mistakes and to believe in ourselves despite any uncertainty we may feel.

Mother cannot guide you
Now you're on your own
Only me beside you
Still, you're not alone
No one is alone, truly
No one is alone
Sometimes people leave you
Halfway through the wood
Others may decieve you
You decide what's good
You decide alone
But no one is alone
I wish...

No one is alone
No one is alone
Believe me

Say the slightest word
Something's bound to linger
Be heard

So Monster Well , Giants ruined the whole Story . Little bit of Trivia concerning the giantess , don't read if you're not wanting any spoilers regarding the original story !
In the act , the Giantess actually stomps on Rapunzel (She went back to the Woods in Madness) and kills her , giving the impact of the following song ("Witch's Lament") . That actually makes one character even more of an asshole : Rapunzel's prince , who directly hits on Snow White after Rapunzel's death .

the dialogue for the scene goes something like :
J- "wait 'til mother finds out I've slayed the giant"
B- "jack theres something I have to tell you. it's about your mother"
J- "what?" -this is where he stops and looks down
B- "she- she didn't make it"
J- "The giant killed her?"
B- "no! no, she was fighting the giant... she was trying to protect you but the steward, he pushed her and she fell"
J- "then after we slay the giant I will find the steward and slay him" -this is where he starts climbing again
B- "jack no! Jack! It's not right to kill people~(something like that)"
J- "well it was a bad thing for the steward to kill my mother"
this was done from memory i just watched it last night so I'm pretty certain its spot on except for that last part :)

People generally don't like because people got so much more out of the original play. That's not exactly a bash on the movie, but more of a reccomendation to watch the play

Actually seeing the scene made it so much clearer. I started to cry because I finally realized what the lyrics meant. No matter what side it is, good or bad, no one is alone. People make mistakes but you always will have a friend to be by your side. I love this song so much.
