New York City
It was love was first sight
You knew how to treat me right
Once I got up off that flight
I just had to hit the streets
So I could see the lights
It had me feeling hype
Am I really living life?
Okay
New York City
It was love was first sight
You knew how to treat me right
Once I got up off that flight
I just had to hit the streets
So I could see the lights
It had me feeling hype
Am I really living life?
Okay

We was thirty thousand feet up in the air
Then we touched down
We were excited for all the sights and the sounds
We were headed to town
There ain't no turning around now
We just had to get a meal, we was parched
Me and my lil sister
Know we took a bunch of pictures
From breakfast til dinner
From morning til dark we was on the march
Try to figure walking10 blocks a day
I'm just glad that we got paid
Enough money to stay for 7 days (Okay, okay)
Megan, lets go shopping, we be balling
All the prices were appalling
And so high like buildings
That met and touched the sky
It's really just you and I
I feel like I might just cry
I don't know if I could ever goodbye, yeah

New York City
It was love was first sight
You knew how to treat me right
Once I got up off that flight
I just had to hit the streets
So I could see the lights
It had me feeling hype
Am I really living life?
Okay
New York City
It was love was first sight
You knew how to treat me right
Once I got up off that flight
I just had to hit the streets
So I could see the lights
It had me feeling hype
Am I really living life?

We was looking at all the things
That we could've bought
But aye it's NYC, so why the heck not
Let's go to Central Park and buy some souvenirs
Get you some gear
Oh your friend need some spending money?
Well here
Don't worry about it
All the hate this tape might get
Yeah I don't worry about em
I pray to God that He got em
People hate up on New York and say it smells
But I just loved the scenery
The eatery's, so leisurely
Man I was really feeling me
Lady liberty and the Rockefeller
Skating on the ice was not nice
But I never felt better
I really loved the sweater weather
Cloudy days and being at Times Square
I always knew that one day I'd make it there

New York City
It was love was first sight
You knew how to treat me right
Once I got up off that flight
I just had to hit the streets
So I could see the lights
It had me feeling hype
Am I really living life?
New York City
It was love was first sight
You knew how to treat me right
Once I got up off that flight
I just had to hit the streets
So I could see the lights
It had me feeling hype
Am I really living life?

47th and 2nd was just around the block
That Ray's pizza joint really did hit the spot
And all the clothes that we got, we shopped
From Empire State toWorld Trade
Riding on the subway
To meeting Sav Killz at Chick Fil A
Seeing you in the parade
That was so great
I'm so proud and will never forget that week
I'm just glad I was able to speak, give you a peek

And rap about the streets
Immortalize it on the beat, yeah

I love this scene! Is New York as friendly as this in real life? I've never been. I've seen London, Paris and even Rome but never New York. From Virginia Clark ❤

You won't be treated nicely for violating class A airspace over JFK.

@Virginia Clark Thank you for the compliments 😊

I'm trying to hang in there more than anything else right now, especially due to the pandemic

I hope after we get through this crisis and NY opens up again in full blast, you can come, visit and enjoy NY to the fullest!!! 😀

Virginia Clark

More people in NY are nice than not nice. It depends on the area in NY you go to and who you talk to. As someone who was born and raised in NY, don't listen to any of the stereotypes. Just be you and nice to everyone you talk to if you ever visit NY and you'll be fine

JAMES: Please, sir! How do I get to the Empire State Building?
