the only song I can remember is "It's a crime" - accompanied by sirens and blue flashing lights.
**************************
Jameson Raid (1976 to 1982) were a fantastic live band playing really original Hard Rock music. They were later associated with the NWOBHM movement and produced one of the very best tracks from this era 'Seven Days Of Splendour'.
Vocals: Terry Dark.
Guitars: Ian Smith.
Bass: John Ace.
Drums: Phil Kimberley.
They released two EPs: 'Seven Days Of Splendour' and 'End Of Part One' and a demo cassette usually refered to as the 'Electric Sun' demo with Steve Makin on guitar, later in Slade 2.
They have a website:
www.jamesonraid.com.
They are considering releasing some archive material and possibly even reforming for a reunion.
The song 'One City' is NOT by Jameson Raid - don't know why it is here. A folk / emo type group from Leeds has called themselves 'The Jameson Raid' (possibly not a smart move, since the original rock band isn't quite dead yet - and has published records...) Maybe it is them?

Jameson Raid Lyrics

All of my change spent on you
where have the times gone?
Baby it's all wrong
where are the plans we made for two?
yeah, I, I know its hard to remember
The people we used to be...
Its even harder to picture,
You say its too late to make it,
But is it too late to try?
And in our time that you wasted
All of our bridges burned down
I've wasted my nights
You turned out the lights
Now I'm paralyzed
Still stuck in that time
when we call it love
But even the sun sets in paradise
I'm at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone?
Baby it's all wrong,
where are the plans we made for two?
The opening lines of Jameson Raid's song Run for Cover, "I'm at a payphone trying to call home / All of my change spent on you" seems like a helpless expression of a failed relationship. The singer is trying to communicate with someone who is no longer with him, and he has spent all of his resources- both emotional and financial- on this person. He reminisces about the times they had together, but realizes that everything has changed and nothing is as it once was. He questions the decisions they made together, and wonders why their plans for the future have gone awry.
Throughout the chorus, the singer continues to ask his former partner what went wrong between them, and if it is too late to fix their relationship. He remarks that he has been left in a state of paralysis, unable to move on from their past love. The line "even the sun sets in paradise" can be interpreted as a metaphor for the fact that even the most beautiful relationships can come to an end, and that sometimes things simply don't work out the way we had hoped. Overall, Jameson raid's song Run for Cover reflects on the aftermath of a failed romance and the struggle to come to terms with the loss of love.
