At age 23 he decided to serve a religious mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
“I was not going on a mission,” he said. “I was not about the church. I didn’t believe or not believe, I just was apathetic.” He ended up serving because he felt like it “was a good thing” and wanted to change his life." “In my mind, a mission was helping people,” he said. “I didn’t have any real understanding of the doctrine.”
That all changed when he was in the Missionary Training Center and a woman bore her testimony of the gospel, and it all clicked for Curran and he thought, “It’s all true, and it’s the most important thing on this earth.”
After his mission, Curran vowed to make sure everyone on this earth that knew him, knew his beliefs. He started making rap videos on YouTube with an emphasis on making the rap sound as normal "as any other rap album" but focusing on promoting values, family, and a healthy drive in life for success.
Dreamin'

Will you get up will you fall
Just keep dreamin', dreamin'
Dreamin' dreamin'
When there ain't no hope inside
Will you give up will you fight
Just keep dreamin', dreamin'
Dreamin' dreamin'
(Rap)
Uh, he da man he the miracle
Too sick cause his arms incurable
Straight terminal, this palpable,
Climb high but we aim for the pinnacle
Yeah, got that eagle bus
For the come on the run like a diesel truck
So, so clutch got that lethal luck
So we say a little prayer
Like Aretha does
Uh, yeah, we got heart for eternity.
You our anchor man, Ron Burgundy
Got will and some, some urgency
We a iron wall, no Germany
Oh why? Cause we bleedin' blue
And we fly through the sky and my dreamin' do
No lie, stop my breathin' too
And it's just what happens when your seam is true.
When you're back against the wall
Will you get up will you fall
Just keep dreamin', dreamin'
Dreamin' dreamin'
When there ain't no hope inside
Will you give up will you fight
Just keep dreamin', dreamin'
Dreamin' dreamin'
(Rap 2)
Uh, no lie he went back to back
And that's just what happens when a pack attacks
Hope you packed your snacks
Hit the gaps in a sec
Cause you know next week we be back for that
And we all gonna roar can't sit in stands
And my homeboy throw like he Jim McMann
And it don't stop spinning like a ceiling' fan
Cause the backup feelin' be da winning plan
He da man, and no Eli do
And we can't stop winning like "See I knew"
Look down at them haters like "See I Flew"
So we just touched down for that BYU
And if anybody thinkin' that we basic still
We be throwin' up that four when we face the fill
It's the school that's telling them that grace is real
Cause you know each win is for our Taysom Hill
When you're back against the wall
Will you get up will you fall
Just keep dreamin', dreamin'
Dreamin' dreamin'
When there ain't no hope inside
Will you give up will you fight
Just keep dreamin', dreamin'
Dreamin' dreamin'
The song "Dreamin'" by Jamesthemormon is about never giving up on your dreams, even when things look bleak. The chorus repeats the line "Just keep dreamin'", encouraging listeners to keep holding onto their aspirations even in the face of obstacles. The first verse asks the question of what someone will do when they're up against a wall, if they'll give up or keep fighting. The second verse is a rap verse, with metaphors comparing the artist and his team to eagle buses and an iron wall, emphasizing their strength and determination.
Throughout the song, the lyrics reference specific cultural touchstones for Brigham Young University, where the artist attended college. Lines like "touched down for that BYU" and "each win is for our Taysom Hill" celebrate the school's football team and star quarterback. This adds to the sense of community and loyalty found in the song's message, with the idea of never giving up on your dreams being tied specifically to the BYU culture and identity.
The song's structure is straightforward, with a repeated chorus and two verses separated by a rap section. The beat is typically hip-hop influenced, with a strong bass line and simple, repetitive melody that reinforces the idea of holding onto a dream even in the face of adversity.
