For over 7 years he was the singer, bassist and songwriter of a band who rocked North Germany with a dark melodic grunge-rock sound. After moving to Berlin and being inspired by his influences Jan found his passion in electronic music. Making a tough decision to quit the band, he traded his guitar for an apc40 and 5x8Spur-Matrix and began producing and performing solo.
Today his sound can be described as a mixture of Radiohead, Muse, Bodi Bill, Stephan Bodzin and James Holden - a beautiful balancing act between melancholic, melodic electro-pop and euphoric minimal techno making Jan one of the most interesting and promising young artist in Berlin at the moment."

Is this the curtain call?
Curtain call
Curtain call
Under my control
Curtain call
This town's a judgmental place
It's not under my control
They're taking aim for heart and soul
Not havin' an opinion at all
Is what is left from doing all that research
Is this the curtain call?
They're taking aim for heart and soul
Under my control
Is this the curtain call?
Curtain call
Under my control
Curtain call
Under my control
Is this the curtain call?
Curtain call
Under my control
Curtain call
This town's a judgmental place
And I'm unsure in any case
It's not under my control
They're taking aim for heart and soul
Not havin' an opinion at all
Is what is left from doing all that research
Is this the curtain call?
I can only love what feels right
Dancing people are never wrong
There ain't no song
Dancing people are never wrong
And what a shame
I can blame you for groovin'
You better not stop moving
I wanna' see you crying on the floor
That's what people are dancing for
There ain't no song
Dancing people are never wrong
And what a shame
I can blame you for groovin'
Don't stop movin'
I wanna' see you crying on the floor
That's what people are dancing for
The boxing in this old town
Gets me down, gets me down
How can I keep control?
How can I keep control?
Keep control
Is this the curtain call?
Curtain call
Keep control
Keep control
Keep control
Keep control
The lyrics to Jan Blomqvist's song "Dancing People are never wrong" touches on themes of control, judgment, and the freedom of dancing. The repeated phrase "curtain call" represents the idea of the end or the final act. The line "place under my control" represents a desire for control over one's life, which may not necessarily be achievable. The mention of a "judgmental place" suggests a society where people are judged based on their actions or beliefs. The lyrics suggest an internal conflict, where the singer is unsure about their own opinions and beliefs. The line "I can only love what feels right" represents the idea that we should follow our instincts and do what feels right to us. However, the singer also understands the power of music and dancing to transcend judgment, and encourages listeners to keep dancing.
